Amy on Private Practice tonight!

Just found out that Amy Acker is guest starring as a patient in the main storyline on tonight's season premiere of Private Practice on ABC, it airs @ 9pm eastern time!

Oh wow, I really didn't know that. Thanks for saying it (oh, I've got a déjà -vu...) Maybe I'll give this show a second chance, after a really disappointing first season imo. Anyway, what's for sure is I'm watching this first ep.

It will never be Greys but I was really starting to get into it before it stopped.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with it.

I agree that it will never be Grey's... I thought I'd have a hard time getting to like all these new characters nearly as much as I love all of the Grey's characters but I'm starting to get there, plus Addy is my absolute favorite character that Grey's has spawned so I was so happy for Kate that she got her own show! I'm hoping for a great season and so far so good!

I really meant to start watching this but Grey's struggled so much last season that it kind of put me off PP.

^ Definitely don't let that keep you away, I've fallen off the Grey's wagon, but PP is so not going down the same path, IMO it's getting better.

Give it a go but see it as a show on its own and not related - that will help.

Part of me wishes Addie stayed as I love her, too much Meredith whining puts me off, I actually don't like her.

I've not seen the new PP yet but looking forward to it - without spoilers is there a chance of Amy being a semi recurring role?

And unfortunately Amy's guest stint was I think just a one episode thing... although if they wanted her back I don't see why she couldn't re-appear, I think techically she is a patient of the practice...

Actually, I love Grey's Anatomy, even though I must agree the end of season 3 and beginning (1 to 11) of season 4 just suck. I mean come on ! George and Izzie ? SERIOUSLY ? I mean come on ! But people who've given up - I can understand - should give the show a second chance, cos from 4.12 it's all good, it's getting like it was again, back in Season 1&2... Ah, fun times... And about Meredith, I personnaly love the character, I find this incredibly brave for a show to take the risk of letting its main character become so depressed... I can relate to her on so many levels, though I'm NOT some suicidal whiner xD But I love what they did to her at the end of S4 and what reason they gave (though it was obviously thought of only after everything) for her life/death issues.

And Private Practice, well... I must agree the show was beginning to have a specific atmosphere you could grow to like, but come on, the scenarios? Rotten. Everyone was acting like "woooaaah seriously ? what a big revelation about you mr. this-week patient !" And I was like "Huh... Duh?? I thought it was well-known!". I've never seen this before, every episode or so, I experienced this feeling of "wtf ? Didn't everyone already know ? It's so obvious, come on, people, LOOK ALIVE!". I've never been a fan of the whole three women, three men, three matches (or potential matches). I know I know there's also that cute guy who's in love with Addie's best friend and who used to be Veronica Mars's college sweetheart. Now Veronica Mars that was a show that always threw me offguard! Besides, I think it's very sad that they didn't keep the original actress for the role of Addie's best friend... That was the woman who played Francie on Alias. The new girl just makes me think she's gonna bite someone. The "old" one was sweet.

Anyway, I'll give this show one more chance by watching the episode only for Amy, but if it's not better, I might watch it only in June when I've got nothing left to watch. Yeah I'm so strict! =D
