Amy Winehouse dead

I was not a fan of her and i do not condone her lifestyle but it is tragic for anyone that young to die and my thoughts are with her family who will be suffering through this loss.

I am a huge fan of her, and know that her music touched a lot of people. I hope that she is at peace wherever she is, as I know she had a lot of personal demons, and I know that her music will live on for a long time.

I was never a huge fan of hers, but she had a beautiful voice and a lot of talent. It's a shame that she was so tortured by her addictions and that her life is over at such a young age. 🙁

I waited to respond to this because addictions are kind of a touchy subject for me right now... but I've come to a spot where I feel bad for her. I feel bad that she never reached a level of peace with herself and everything else in her life to quit. It's a shame when someone dies this young. It didn't have to be this way and I feel so bad that it did.

Thank you
I didn't really have an interest in her music, but I think the picture that's emerging from the tributes is of somebody with her heart in the right place who basically made some bad decisions, spent too much time with people she shouldn't have and in the end just couldn't get out. Unfortunately her two albums are pretty much dwarfed by the volume of footage of her under the influence of one substance or another staggering down the street in the small hours of the morning.

I wasn't talking about you with my other comment, just heard a lot of people on Twitter get all outraged because apparently there's only so much grief and shock to go around. Sorry, probably be who was unclear.
I noticed the same thing, and was a little irked by that. There's certainly enough grief, enough love and enough chances to give comfort to go around. Comparing pain in that way is meaningless.

I still can't believe she's actually dead🙁
And honestly, I really hate how people (especially on youtube) are all making jokes about rehab and stuff, and everyone is just so caught up in this whole addiction issue and having discussions about that. We don't even know for sure yet that it was the cause of death! Also, for me personally, instead of scrutinizing all that went wrong in her life, I much rather wanna remember her for her great music. She was such a talented singer, AND she wrote her own songs which is a little too rare in today's music industry. I think that's one of the reasons why she was so good...because since she wrote her own, she obviously knew what she was singing about and could be there, emotionally, fully.

A friend of mine and me went down to her house in Camden on Tuesday and put down some flowers. R.I.P. Amy
