Personally, I love her voice, and her personality. She's mental, I think she'll end up dead though, but I like the way she's living her life. She reminds me of my mum.

i love her i think she has an amazing talent its been a long time since there was a voice like hers, her life however is pretty bad she really is destroying herself and no one seems to be able to help and with her rare talent it makes it even worse

I like her music i think she has a really good voice. But she needs to sort her life out, she'll end up dead at the rate she's going. But i feel sorry for her and her dad.
 
I don't like her, not my style of music first of all. I think she's neither a good example for people of my age, well anway I hope there aren't so stupid kids who actually take her as an example, 'cause of the anorexic things and drinking and stuff. Or well maybe she is, to show how you will actually end.

I think she'll pull it together, somehow, and stay alive, at least for a few years.

True, she is not a good role model..But, who is?

I think her lyrics are really amazing, she knows what she's talking about, the pain of love, and drinking, and drugs, a modern gal.
 
Looking at Amy right now is comparable to a train wreck, or an accident on the highway.

You can't help but watch it, even though it's painful to do so.

Looking at the before and after photos should be the best reason why you shouldn't do drugs.
 
Well maybe no one is really a role model, but there are at least better examples for people than Amy Winehouse. Like someone with the same name: Amy McDonald or Hayley from Paramore (I never hear of bad things she do at least), Kate Winslet (older but well I put her in the list), ...

I actually put Amy W really in the line of "the worsest" as in Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie... The only difference between them and Amy is that Amy isn't such a doll.

Although i agree with you about Amy not being a good role model and not looking that good in her pictures. She has problems like drugs which are clouding her judgement and making her sick. So i don't think you can blame her for being a bad role model, i doubt if she really knows what kind of image she's portraying at the moment or had any idea how bad she looks/act. I wish she would just get some help and sort her life/head out before she tries to get her music back together.

I agree. Somehow she seems to pick the wrong people to hangout with, and fall in love with. She seems to have bad judgement.

I heard her in an interview saying she wants a family, kids and all, but I don't think that's going to happen if she continues this way.

It's so sad, I want to help, I know exactly what she's going through. She needs better friends, I'd be her friend.
 
I actually wonder if she has brains. I mean not for taking drugs&alcohol, but I think if she wouldn't take them there would neither come something relevant out of her mouth...
 
I dont really mind her, dont listen to her or anything, but she did have 1 good song. I prefer Katy.
 
Amy is just sad. She may be one of the few artists out there today that young and old folks like me can really get into, retro and innovative at the same time and a great voice.

On a related note, she could probably get work as an actress in the horror genre cause she already looks UNDEAD so they'd save a bundle on make-up.

Although drugs and alcohol are considered diseases I despise the concept that she (or anyone else) is not responsible for her actions. Just as a person who smokes shouldn't be surprised when they get lung cancer, everyone knows that heavy drug use leads to trouble. Go down that road and don't be surprised where you arrive. Take responsability.

I'm not necessarily ANTI-DRUG, I'm PRO-RESPONSABILITY.
Same with Anorexia or the majority of other mental diseases, (not including chemical imbalance nuerological disorders) Get over it Amy or join the dead rock star club.

Still, gotta love that voice.

That comment about her going into horror movies is so wrong on so many levels....but it's funny AND true at the same time.
She'd be really pretty if she laid off the drugs...

I have a friend who is absolutely drop dead gorgeous but has a huge Amy Winehouse vibe about her...some people mistake her for Amy and others ask if she intentionally goes for it. She styles her hair in a very similar fashion and has a sort of Winehouse swagger...

That being said...I'm sort of indifferent to her as an artist. Her songs are good, but not great.
 
Hmm, yeah i have love for Amy Winehouse.

She has proven soul in her voice, this maybe has given her the freedom to present herself any in which manner the lady wishes, and yeah maybe she takes it a tad too far with the "auld drug problem" but so what? She never she wouldnt.
Infact it makes me like her more.(i know god, im a sicko HAW HAW)

Far too many "good rolemodels" anyway,we're tripping over the bams.
We need a shit model, its all about balance.
 
Great voice...silly girl. I hope she pulls her life around now she seems to have kicked the deadbeat husband into touch.
I was just about to search for some before and after pics but I see BlackLolita beat me to it...on the right a lovely, healthy-looking young woman and, on the left, an absolute wreck, who doesn't look long for this world, I'm sad to say...Mrs Pointy says she looks like someone from Belsen...
