I am thinking about future issues of Season 8. And I think it would be a cool stand-alone if the Scoobies all flashedback to the days directly following the last battle at Sunnydale's Hellmouth. With Buffy and Xander grieving the loss of Potentials, Spike and Anya; Willow being all buzzed from becoming a goddess; Faith feeling as though she finally did something right; Giles all proud of his Slayers ect. ect.

I would LOVE to know more about what happened in between the destruction of Sunnydale and when the comic books pick up! flashbacks would be a cool way to do it too. I hope Andrew gets an issue (or an arc) too.

That would be cool! and in a way it would not ust give us our buffy fix for that month but also the days we missed

I thought that was going to happen in another comic being developed.. I remember members here discussing it earlier.. It would be awesome though, but then again I want to know what happened in most of the summers between the seasons.

I think an entire series could be written (or at the very least an extended story arc) concerning the time between the destruction of Sunnydale and when we see Buffy jumping out of that helicopter in Season 8, Issue 1. There's just too much that has gone on between the two: the Scottish castle, the James Bond global surveillance system, the apparently worldwide Slayer organization, the period of grief for lost comrades and loved ones, Dawn's episode with the Threefold demon... As has been pointed out by several people, the Season 8 story line should actually be Season 9.

I hate flashbacks, especially the kind that flashback to things I've seen before in previous episodes, but to a lesser extent also just general stuff from the past... Given how thin and infrequent the comics are I'd rather they stay in the present, though if in addition to that Joss put out independent issues to cover the in between time then I'd read them too.

I actually think I would like that. To have some closure on the Xander not saying much about Anya's death and then some. I wouldn't mind that one bit.
