I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about someone starting something for fans to come together as Buffy started to end.

I know a lot of other fandoms have done this and I thought it'd be really cool if we did something too. I think it'd be really cool if a bunch of fans got together and organized something that helped a charity and kind of showed the world "Hey, look, Buffy's going away and people aren't happy about it!"

Maybe a internet site where people could come, send in anywhere from $1 to however much they want and have a candle lit For Buffy, and then in the end give the money to the Make-A-Wish foundation or something like that...

Just a thought...

there's already a website that some of the (ex) crew members know about, take David Yaffe, for example (he was one of the sound crew guys).

anyways at that website there's a forum where people post their thankyous and even Wanda got to know about it and told people about it!

so, why give money to idiots? I missed something...

I think it's better to give all the money to Joss, or perhaps me...

OK, how is giving money to charity giving money to idiots?

Tons of James Marsters fans raised money to buy him an ad thanking him and then took the rest and donated over 1,000 dollars to charity.

I don't see how supporting the show and giving to charity 'gives money to idiots'

K', some people like helping others. Joss and the actors have enough money to last them a life time. Other people don't. I don't see what you problem really is.

I agree with vamp harmony. It is nice to help others that really need it instead of giving it to people that have plenty of money.

then go watch the show about cripples and the elderly...

NEVER WATCH BUFFY OR ANGEL AGAIN!

...traitors!...

you are just saying that cos you have a rich cripple fetish...heh.

Just because people like to support those who actually need money rather than those who don't doesn't mean that they don't support the shows and are traitors.

We just realize that some people aren't as lucky as others. And I know a lot of fans how have converted to Buffy because of Joss Whedon himself donating money earned from the Posting Board Party to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

yeah, if you are such a buffy fan, then you would know about all the good thngs they have done:

"WE HELP THE HELPLESS"

why not give other people happiness coz buffy has bought us some over the last years.

I know I'm just an irritating newbie, but come on, sometimes its nice to give to others. maybe If you were a cripple you'd look at it a different way, or if you were diagnosed with Cancer or something.

Some people like to put effort in to help others.
I'd suggest animal charitys, but then you'd probably tell me that you don't care since your not an abandoned kitten or puppy, right?

Looks we have our own Buffy and Angel fanatic.
But seriously do you not have a heart.
Or are you doing that so that everyone will react to your comment.

Buffy Contest

just to lighten up the mood - I just wanted to spread the word about a Buffy contest that is going on. I heard from my co-workers at Universal that the contest is based from the Chaos Bleeds game. Apparently you can win a bunch of stuff like authentic props, dvds, and comic art (something like that) . I believe that i found this information at buffygame.com . So check it out when you have time. later
