This is a book, originally published in (I think) 1995, recently re-released, written by Fred Saberhagen, the first in a series, which I hope will all be available again soon.
I read this book quite some time ago. and I was wondering if anyone else here might be familiar with it. My main reason for asking is that it portrays the central character, Dracula, in a far different light than Stoker, or traditional movies have portrayed him, that seems, to me, to be quite similar to the Buffyverse Dracula, particularly as we see him in Season 8, as a powerful man, certainly ruthless and extremely dangerous if provoked, but also with his own code of honor, as loyal to and protective of his friends as he is cruel and merciless to his enemies.
Is anyone else here familiar with this book? If not, I certainly recommend it if you would be so inclined.
