Yeah, she was probably playing with him. Jenny was often trying to get a rise out of Giles. Telling him she massively damaged his first edition book. Taking him to a Monster Truck show. She probably did say the comment just so that he would be left with dirty thoughts like I was (it couldn't have been the belly button due to the way she said the line).

I remember reading a review that said "Wow. He really is addicted" because when Buffy entered the room he didn't stop the vamp-stitute from sucking on his arm. It shoved her away after Buffy fled in sickness and shock. He was probably just surprised though to have been caught and the reality of what he was doing probably sunk in when he saw Buffy's face.

Since we know Buffy loves keeping the window open Spike could probably hear and smell the entire Briley lovemaking event. No wonder he was all "If it weren't for this chip I'd have killed you long ago."

But then again, this is from me, a person who didn't know Buffy and Spike had sex on the balcony in Dead Things. I thought they just rubbed their body together. 😛
