Are there moments in BTVS or Angel on which you totally crashed? That doesn't mean they have to been unexpacted, it's just a situations of the series which surprised you, or withwhich you completely disagree!
Personally I knew a lot of the story of BTVS when I started with season 1 because I read the comics and saw videos on YouTube. So I was prepared to see Tara die, to know that the Bangel relationship will break and I knew that there will be a dark Willow.

But I was pretty shocked when Joyce and Jenny died, I didn't knew that it would happend and I was just sitting in my bed thinking:"Oh my good...WHY?". I was shocked when Anja died, I knew that she would, but I didn't expect that it would be so cruel! She got ripped, remeber? That wasso hard! I wasn't shocked when Buffy died in season 5 because I knew that there is a sixth season but I guess that this was a real shock for some of you! I crashed by the fact that Cordi disappear in BTVS and never found back to Xander again!!

Whats about you?
(Sorry if there is already a thread like this! I didn't saw it.)

Connor being kidnapped. I didn't read any Angel spoilers, so when he wasn't able to get his son back I was shocked and heartbroken for him.

Spike and Buffy's relationship was a bit of a surprise for me. I had heard that they would get together but I had trouble imagining what/how/why brought the two of them together.

I crashed by the fact that Cordi disappear in BTVS and never found back to Xander again!!

I always hoped that they would give it another go; they were such a fun couple.

The Gift. I watched it and I just paced around my front yard for about an hour going "no... this isn't real. No. She can't be dead. No. What? No. No. No. This can't be real. No. Oh god no. No. Oh my god. Oh no."

Haha yes. I think I would have react the same way. But I knew that there is allready a 6 and 7 season so...the fear was gone. If not I would have gone mad!
The ending to "Not Fade Away," the first time that I saw it, really surprised me. The way that it ended, I thought there was still one episode left to be shown, Then, once realization set in, I got really, REALLY mad. I hate cliffhangers in general, but I absolutely DESPISE a cliffhanger as the end of a series. To me, that's the most inconsiderate thing that can be done to a loyal fan. Everything doesn't have to end up all sunshine and roses, and the story line doesn't even have to have all of the loose ends tied up. But you don't just walk away from a story for the last time just when the major battle is about to begin. That's just pure Joss evil coming out.

I always crashed when I saw the werewolves in season 4. Such a great idea and then those ridiculous costumes. This drove me mad so many times. Just wanted a cool werewolf.

When Buffy died in the Gift was a complete shock for me!! I did not see that coming at all!! And I was so confused and upset... and I thought it was so wierd because I knew there were more seasons, so I didn't know what they were gonna do after that.

Also I did not see Anya's death coming. That was verry sudden, and also very sad! I loved her character!! 🙂
And when Caleb poked Xander's eye.. I know it's just an eye, but still.

I totally agree with this! I was so annoyed when I saw it! It was beautiful in some ways, but no, that's not a kind of ending I want. I was really happy after someone told me what happened in the comics, so now I just think: "that's how it really ended". 😀

I didn't think there were, but now that I think about it, I remember back in season 7 when I read the spoilers and found out that Spike was gonna die.... Yes, I literally crashed. I know it wasn't during the watching itself, but knowing about that moment, it was very hard for me, as if it was real life and Spike was a real "person".

Yes, oh my god, I was not prepared for him to die! I had completely forgot about that! I was so chocked and sad, and in the same time, I really, really loved that ending. It seemed very fitting for the character, so brave... *sob* 🙂

Oh, yeah I know what you mean! I started with the comics and so I knew a lot of the story. I knew about the half of persons who will die! But everytime they died I was shocked. It was really extreme with Xanders patch. I knew that he will lose his eye in season 7 because he allready lost it in season 8. I was sitting in front of my TV just thinking: " May he will lose it this episode? May?" I was everytime relieved because he didn't lose it. And when he lost it I was shocked again. Even if I knew exactly that he will loose it I was shocked! That was crazzy! Luckly I knew that Spike is going to return in season 8 if not this season final would have been very hard for me!

I didn't even know he would be back for Ats s5, it was before they made that decision. So I thought he'd died forever!

Through hell and straight back, huh? ;D

I was really, really pissed when I first watched Not Fade Away. I just stared at the tv...my eyes widened, and I whispered, "No." I then took some time to reflect. I realized that the ending was perfect, for Angel. If Buffy had ended like that, I think I would have ripped apart my stuffed pig, with my teeth...then I would've sob uncontrollably.

Gubler (the pig) and I are both happy that there is a method to Joss' madness.

And just as a follow up on my "Not Fade Away" anger, IDW's "After The Fall" has to go and publish the absolute lamest bail out from the battle in the alley that could possibly be imagined. Hell, I'm not a professional writer, and I wrote, not one, but THREE different endings to that battle within a month of Season 5 ending that were better than that. All that that showed me was that Joss never expected to have to come back and win that battle, so he just fell back on a deus ex dragona solution that was absolutely laughable.

Plus, when "Buffy Season 8" started, I was once again disappointed because the Immortal was a character who had really piqued my interest ever since "The Girl In Question."

(But none of this really pertains to what this thread is about, so just write it off as the ravings of an old man at 3AM.)

Pretty much all the big events. I didn't read any spoilers so I went in totally blind. Was very stunned by Joyce's death, the AR in Seeing Red, Buffy actually dying dying that second time, Spike turning to ashes in the finale.., etc.
