So, since it was never really clear, but by the end of Season 7 did Andrew beomce a full fledged member of the Scoobie gang?

I think yes, just for the fact that he stayed to fight for the cause when he could've just left when Xander untied him, he wasn't a slayer or vampire or son of a slayer looking to fight evil and he didn't need to date Xander or Willow to join. Just a nerdy kid trying to do the right hting and redeem himself even if everyone else thinks he's a spaz and act like they don't need his help

He wasn't really a scoobie yet, but if they show had continued, he could've, should've and probably would've become one.

I don't think he was a scoob but I'm pretty tight. I don't class Faith as a scoob cause she was evil and only really got on with the gang in the early stages of s.4 and bits of s.7. So seing as Andrew was evil until s.7 then you can't really include him.

Then again willow was evil for in s.6 so I guess you could say he was a scoob 😕 I'll just agree with Alleycat in that he may have been one if the show continued.

i dont think he was cause they were mean to him and they didnt really like him so i guess not

I think he was. I mean, the rest of them may have been mean to him, but I think he wanted to be redeemed and I think he proved it. That makes him a Scoobie in my eyes. 😀

I think that what he did at first was grab onto what he could. He seems like the type that needs to be in a group. Wants to be accepted. And he was lost. I think that he redeemed himself and after the battle if it had continued...or if it DOES...then he would have become a great scooby. But I would'nt say he was completely accepted as such by the end of the Buffy series...but he was great.

I think that there are layers to the Scooby Gang.

Giles, Buffy, Willow and Xander are the Scooby core. This was (in my mind) established when in Chosen, the four of them are left alone and re-play the scene from the end of The Harvest.

The second layer consists of people like Angel, Dawn, Oz, Cordy, Anya, Tara and Spike; people who are there, who help and contribute, who we see as a part of the gang now, but who were'nt part of the group from the very begining.

Last of all, we have our peripheral Scoobies. These are people who are almost part of the gang, they're there, they help and all, but they're not part of the family so much. I'd put Andrew in this category along with people like Wood and Kennedy. These are people that we [the fans and creators] most probably don't have defined attachments to.

And I think that Faith would fit in somewhere between the second and third levels.

I never considered Faith, Angel, Spike or Riley members of the Scokoby gang, most of them were loners who had their own agenda, Wood fits in this category. And yes, most of them were mean to him, but Buffy and Willow never liked Anya and she was still in the group, same goes for Cordelia. I think towards the end, at least Xander respected Andrew. Again, Buffy could have told him to kleave town once they let him go as a hostage, but she let him stay as a guestage and he didn't even run. He stayed and redeemed himself. That deserves a spot in the club, at least in my opinion

I am in love with Kindred's logic! She said it better than I and I have to say YAY to that! 😀

Hostile_17...I can totally see where you are coming from. I love Andrew but I think he needed a bit more time to be a true scooby...but he could definately achieve it in my book...GO ANDREW! 😀

I don't think he was a scooby...He is the type who will go where everybody goes...If evil was winning, he 'd be on that side....

I'd beg to differ. I definitly think that even if it'd be certain death for Buffy and her's he would've come with. I mean, Anya died, he could've died too, he knew that and accepted that risk, so I think it's a bit harsh to say, he'd change sides.

I was thinking about situation before Anya's death, let it be when Caleb got to town.If Andrew knew which side wins, that's where he'd be...
It's just my opinion,I don't wanna make any of you angry...

I'm just saying I disagree, but anyway, any more people with an opinion on this?

I have not yet seen the end of Buffy. However, I am going to say, YES! I luv Andrew. I can't see why in the future I wouldn't want him to be on the side of the scoobies!

Ultimately I luv and want the "good" to win, so if they could have Andrew (which is my fav) on their side, that would, as a good friend of mine says, "ROCK! ROCK! ROCK!"

I don't think he was there long enough to be called a 'scoob' yet but like Allycat said if the show ran longger then it did and he continue to say with the gang it could of happened!
