Andrew

I just can't think of Andrew as gay. I don't think of him as straight, either, though. Like I said before, I think he's too immature to be anything like that,

Oh yeah I totally agree, that I don't see Andrew as gay, but he did have Gay like moments towards Warren.

Yeah I don't think the idea of being sexual with either sex had crossed his mind, it was just total infatuation with whoever had 'Power' or who was in charge.

But I think it would have been a really interesting thing to see, if Andrew had gotten into the series (Clearly not in the show, there wouldn't have been time, but after, maybe we will?) But I just can't picture him actually in a relationship!

Oh, today I watched "Storyteller", and I loved the scene between Andrew and Anya when Anya says "Why can't you just masturbate like the rest of us?". Of course, Andrew didn't have much to say in that exchange but I started laughing hysterically...Anya's delivery, Andrew sitting on the toilet, the cut to the title sequence...classic Buffy moment.

LOVE that scene!

Exactly how old is Andrew anyway? Coz i dont think hes as old as Buffy and co, but he's not as young as Dawn. And he did hang out with Johnthen and Warren who were both in Buffy and co's grade...Anyways..

The moments i love from Andrew [that aren't already mentioned] would be in the episode where Willow turned into Warren, and Andrew goes and grabs Willow/Warren from behind and you see a shot of Andrew having his hands over Willows boobies!

That, and in the last episode, Chosen, where Giles, Xander, Andrew and that potential are playing some game, and Andrew is wearing a red headscarf thing, and he flicks the scarf back and says "Step back girlfriend!"

Very cute 😀

Am I the only one who absolutely loved Andrew's addition to the group in S7? I'm rewatching everything and I'm in the middle of S7 right now, everytime he's on screen I laugh. Just now it was "I'm bored...Episode I bored." I can't help but love this character and the comdey he brings to the season.

Oh I LOVED Andrew!! I thought he was hilarious and deffinately added the comedy to the season since there wasn't much of it at the time. He was like the cherry on top of the big Chocolate Fudge Sundae. *drools* Now I'm hungry. :lmao:

Andrew is totally amazing in Season 7 and he brings so much to he fold!! Storyteller is one of my top episodes too. Andrew is adorable!! 😀

Yeah I really liked Andrew a lot. I'm just wondering if they're finally going to reveal that he's gay in the Season Eight, because it's not as if they didn't hint toward it since Season Six. Also will he finally loose his virginity? Because I mean supposedly
Dawn looses her virginity in the Season Eight comic

But how can you not see Andrew as gay, I mean they've been hinting at it since Season Six. Here's the evidence:
In the episode "Entropy", when the Trio's secret cameras reveal Spike getting physically intimate with Anya in The Magic Box, Andrew says that Spike is "so cool," then hurriedly adds, "The girl's hot, too." In the Angel episode Damage, Andrew comments that Spike's senses are "as well honed as his Viggo Mortensen pectorals." Andrew also fantasizes about actor Scott Bakula as hinted in "First Date." In Season Six, after Warren allows Jonathan and Andrew to be captured, Andrew is quoted as saying "He never really loved...hanging out with us." In the "Storyteller," episode Andrew re-mouths the interview of Xander and Anya, only mouthing Anya's part of the conversation that makes it seem like he's talking to Xander. He also comments after an altered flashback of the Trio "Warren was cool... and wasn't Jonathan just the cutest thing?" And I think there were more instances but yeah

I did appreciate this exchange with Andrew from "Dirty Girls"

Amanda: What the hell are you talking about? I thought Faith killed a volcanologist.
Andrew: (chuckles) Silly, silly ... Amanda. Why would Faith kill a person who studies Vulcans?

Andrew was a great addition to the cast - just so funny - his addition really re-energised the show and his appearances on Angel were brilliant. I hope we get lots of Andrew in the comics

Yeah but he does the same thing to girls - He's clearly Intrigued when anya mentions she masterbates in the bathroom, he also has two girls on each Arm at the end of Damage - stuff like that. I just don't think he would be in a relationship with a guy, It's more like he has sexual feelings and doesn't know what to do with them so they get aimed at anyone.

Honestly I felt Andrew's sexuality was more a factor of "who's currently paying attention to me?".

Has the "IS Andrew Gay" Question ever been officially asked to any of the writers/Joss before? I'd love to know their answer.

Andrew has to be gay, there is so much hinting going on its undeniable. I would guess that the reason he is not out in the show is because it is much more acceptable in society to see two women (willow and tara) in an intimate relationship than two men. If they would have had Andrew come out it would have caused a big train wreck with people who think homosexuality is wrong.

I am a fan of Andrew .And I agree he does bring alot of laughter to the show. I did like seeing the many looks on Angel's face in season 5 whenever Andrew talked.

I love Andrew, especially in Season 7. He's one of my favorite characters. I do think the evidence is against anyone who doesn't think he's somewhat gay - at the very least he's found some men attractive (Spike, Warren, Xander, Captain Archer). But I also see ample evidence that he's attracted to women too (one of the first things we learn about him is that he resents Warren for not building him a Christina Ricci-bot, and he was working on a crush on Anya near the end of season seven). I don't understand why people think he has to be either gay or straight. I'd say he's bi-sexual, with a history of slightly favoring men over women (and I'd say that's just because until he was forced into it in Season Seven he'd never really interacted with any women).

i adore andrew! storyteller was one of my fave eps from season 7. the whole gentle viewers thing was cracking me up.

In season 6, I thought Andrew was the least interesting of the trio, but in season 7 he's just so... FUNNY! Definitely the one character who made me laugh the most per episode. Someone said he overshadows Xander, this might be true. I've never forgiven Xander for leaving Anya at the altar, though, and the character was kinda lackluster after that in my opinion.

And hooray for Andrew-y goodness in the season 8 comics!

I love Andrew. He added a lot of comedy. I really thought without him there would have been a lot more boring scenes. Not that I don't love my season 7 of course.

I absolutely loved Andrew, I think he was responsible for most of the funny moments in Season 7. I really loved the way he pronounced "vampires" in Storyteller. Although, I agree with whomever it was that said he was most likely bisexual.

If Andrew ain't plain ole gay then I ain't and trust me I am. LOL Andrew admires women, like all gay men. We love the diva's. I can't see him having a relationship with a woman. For God Sake, he "Played" Anya in Storyteller. LOL

HAHAHAAH auw! i loved when he mouthed the words.
I think a lot less of Andrew now that we know that he misled Spike about Buffy being in Rome, when he had seemed to be so supportive of the Spike/Buffy relationship (at least I thought he was) in Season 7. Buffy's comment in Season 8 Issue 1 about how he "thought it would be hilarious" makes it seem like an intentional act. Even though he probably didn't know that Spike was back when the whole Immortal/Buffy farce began, he should have, when he discovered the truth, at least taken his "comrade in arms" aside, somewhere out of Angel's hearing, and given him the straight story. He had plenty of opportunity when they were tracking Dana, and don't say that he was too occupied with the hunt. He had time to ask about the flavor of blood.

IMO Andrew got a free ride from everyone on murdering his supposed best friend, and he was probably indirectly responsible for other deaths during season 6 (don't remember anymore). Sometimes they make such a big deal in Buffy about killing innocents or even the not so innocent, like Willow killing Warren or Faith having to turn herself in for the manslaughter she committed, yet when Andrew does it there is no consequence (and it's not like the First put a gun to his head).
