It looks interesting enough but I hate the way Angel is being drawn...he looks like the Hulk. Actually it reminds me alot of how the old Buffy (non-canon) comics used to be drawn, ya know with the green vampires?

Yeah, both he and the lady have the "comic book physique syndrome." Nothing human has muscle definition like that.
Visually I don't like Angel here. I do like Dez (sexy!). I'm okay with Kate, although she needs to get some protection over that midriff.

So, the lady is a true shape shifter instead of just a were-beast of some sort. Maybe she uses the same magic that Dracula used. Whatever it is, I wonder if we're gonna get to see her and Nina tangle.

Well, neither are human but I know what you mean. I associate that kind of drawing with non-canon comics and even though Armstrong's arc isn't truly canon anyway I expected a little more form it I think. As irrational as it sounds it makes me take her arc even less seriously.

I agree that the art is looking rather "cheap". I wouldn't say that the artists is bad, but his tone should just be a little darker. Also, the colors are a bit too cartoon-y.

The art is good, it's just not good for 'Angel.' The artist obviously has skill but it looks nothing like Angel/DB and looks far too comic-book generic. So far Armstrong's dialogue hasn't been strong enough to make up for that so I pray it gets better or the art will continue to be a distraction.
