To those in the US! Tell us europeans what happened in yesterday' ep. It's hard enough having to wait, so make it easier by telling us some highlights.
1) Is Wesley returning to the group?
2) Is Connor having a bad time - I hope so.....
3) How is W&H staff coping with their new boss
4) Will Lorn help them to find Cordy?
😉

I actually posted this at another forum. It's much easier to cut and paste than write another summary 🙂
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well just watched it. I'm still missing Cordelia, but OMG Gwen is so hot

So let's see.. basically the episode dealt with Angel trying to get a relic in his hands in order to find Cordy. It just so happens this relic happens to be worth 33 million. So needless to say it's in higher demand than Angel would like. While attempting to steal this item he runs into the woman incarnated version of Raiden(Gwen) who is a professional theif that just happens to wear tight leather pants In this encounter she kills Gunn, and then brings him back to life with her electro powers. Angel then tracks her down and they proceed to fight and fall into an elevator. She then uses her eletrical mojo on Angel and just so happens to kick start his heart. We are then treated to a little kissy kissy scene between Gwen and Angel. This situation becomes sticky as the potential buyers double cross Gwen and trap her and Angel in an elevator with poisonous gas. They manage to escape and kick the buyers asses. Gwen then realizes Angel really does want the relic due to his love for Cordy. So she forks it over. Angel then discovers Cordy is up with the powers that be and that more or less was the end of the episode except for another short blurb from Cordy herself pleading for Angel to "Get me out of here".

We were also treated with more steamy scenes of the ongoing Lilah/Wesley relationship. Angel did go and try to make amends with Wesley. He helped him uncover how to find Cordy and then went his own way. Apparently Wesley has assesmbled his own demon fighting squad. Angel also sought out Lilah in order to get information on Gwen and the potential buyer of the relic. With his keen sense of smell, he uncovered to Lilah that he knew they had been together. Lilah is staking out Conner obviously hoping to gain him as a potential client. Angel let her know that would not be such a good idea.

So that's my short summary of what happened. So what did I think? Pretty good episode, obviously I really dig this Gwen chick. She doesn't seem to be evil, but without a doubt she has a chip on her shoulder about being electro freak. It'll be interesting to see if she returns.

For the Conner/Angel saga followers, this episode probably offered nothing for you. We saw absolutly no progression in this story line, only that Conner is sleeping on the streets. Amy Acker I thought did an excellent acting job in the scenes following Gunn's short death. She showed alot of emotion and really let out how horrible she felt with Angel and Cordy being gone. The thought of losing Gunn would probably put her back in the cave with her equations. Some probably don't think that's such a bad idea

Next week it looks like we finally get to see Lorne as our hero's make a trip to Vegas. So darn, probably no Gwen

The Gwen chick definately does it for me...i hope she comes back in other episodes this season...about conner...i hope hes miserable...hes just a big brat....fred has gotten to her wits end..which i think is kinda cool cause now shes way more outspoken...and that part where angels heart started to beat and when gunn died for a sec spiced up the ep....it was better then the premiere i think..

I wish that I had Gwen's powers. They were pretty cool. Sunday's ep was good. I felt so sorry for Fred when she started crying with Gunn. I'm glad that the gang finally knows where Cordy went. Can't wait til next week's ep!! Viva Las Vegas!!!😀 😀

How much of a Faith ripoff was Gwen. I want my Grade A 100% faith. Not some watered down knockoff to hold us off till sweeps

I don't know that I see Gwen as a Faith ripoff. The taste in clothes, maybe.🙂 But she seemed more mature, self-assured, and well-educated than Faith, and probably carries a lot more mental baggage. (Imagine not being able to touch anyone your whole life without wearing a non-conductor or you'll kill them.)

yeah... I saw some MAJOR Faith bits in Gwen. But I liked her. She had attitude. Fred pulled another great peformance this ep... though she leaned slightly towards whiney. I'm still upping my opin ion of here again. Gunn being dead totally freaked me out for a second there... though I knew that she could have just jump started his heart again. still... freaky. I had Tara vibes.

Angel got healthy again REALLY quickly. I mean... I know it was "only" three months and he's got the healing power,... but suddenly he's super strong again and a fighter and everything? No more trippy visions? And that line he gave to Wes.. "Things are okay between us" that was just lame. What is WITH these guys that they can't just talk it out and give each other big manly hugs and stuff?

Wesley: Angel, I'm sorry I kidnapped your child which lead to him growing up in a hell dimension. I did what I thought was right. You have to understand that EVERY SINGLE prophesy pointed to you killing Connor, and then started acting all... bloodthirsty.

Angel: I know. You can imagine how angry I was when I found my son missing. Even with the prophesies. I'm sorry I tried to kill you. It just seemed the only thing to do since you kidnapped Connor. You could have TOLD us... at least Gunn and Fred.

Wesley: I could have, yes. But they might have stopped me, which, at the time, seemed a bad idea. Taking Connor away from you seemed to be the only way.

Angel: i guess it looked that way to you.

Wes: friends?

Angel: friends. Can we share that big manly hug now?

Wesley: C'mere you!

*the two share a big manly hug.*

and see? everything's fine! they don't just walk away... they're actually FRIENDS again. I should write the episodes! lol.

anyways... back on topic. I hope we see more of Gwen, and less of stupid angel Cordy. get her out of the stupid sky and back on the ground. Those little end-of-episode sequences with her whining about being in a heaven-ish type place... they're just so CORNY!

oh yeah.... and someone shoot Lilah already. Please?

Oh.... and a REALLY important question, I can't believe I forgot it.

So angel's heart started up again. (weird, though, that scene. It was all dead and looked lung a lung from a 20 years smoker... and then suddenly it's all new and shiny and beating?) So the big question is.... Does it STAY beating? I mean... the guy has no circulation. He doesn't breath. what would be the point. I'm sure it must be a jolt for him and all, to have a heartbeat again, but will it STAY?

I thought it was rather stupid that that happened. Cool as hell, but stupid. I mean, she could revive Gunn's heart because he had JUST died. It's not like... 200-odd years after someone dies (assuming they're rather well preserved, lol) she could just go up to their heart and say "here's a kick start!" and it starts up again.

Maybe she was trying to kill Angel (not knowing he was already dead), and gave him a lot more voltage than Gunn's "kick start".

Thanks a bunch folks, you all made my day. Just got back from a business trip and these story lines from the ep upon my return! I am so looking forward to watching the new season.
Angel's heart beating again?! But without the extras I guess. Still shy of sunlight etc? Can't wait to find out where it leads to.
Good to hear Fred is getting stronger.

haha I'm right with you Buffy Ann Summers. One episode with a corny line from Cordy up in the sky was ok, but two? ::thumb::

i thought it was kind of lame the first time, but i when it happened again in this episode i actually laughed. guess they just needed some way to give her a line in the show :\

I think anyone who can answer that last question will have solved one of the major mysteries of modern times. 🙂

But more specifically to the scenario, it *is* really awkward being in debt to someone you feel has done you a great wrong.

As for Wesley, those three months of ostracism and anger have pretty much set "Dark Wes" in stone. He's not interested in forgiveness and coming back to the fold anymore. When he left Angel at the hotel in the premiere, he said two things that more or less sum up his current attitude about AI:

"I believe this is something you've been looking for." (Some*thing*, not some*one*)

and

"I don't belong here anymore."

wesley never reffered to angel as 'some*thing*'

I think he really did during the season premiere when he dropped Angel off at the hotel. I remember it really jarred after all the trouble he went to rescuing Angel and getting him coherent and calling AI in advance to make sure someone was there to take care of him.

Does anyone else remember the line I'm talking about?

I missed this episode - stupid me!

I actually like Lilah. I never used to until I saw the season premiere, and she took the department over. My only words then were "you go girl!"
