Glory might have given Buffy a good jab or toss that flew her across the room, but kicked her ass across the room? Not so much. That's something different.
Your right, i must be taking something out of context because I dont even know why Glory vrs Buffy is important to each shows action. Anyway, in No place like home (Buffy S5E05), Glory does precisely that...throw her clean across a room. lol. In fact I believe Buffy's only defense against this was to limp toward the monk grab him and throw herself out of the top window. Where were you when the watchers council came and told Buffy shes indestructable...only Glory's 'other half' can be killed. How about when she throws Buffy across the room in the hospital?
Did you like the part where Buffy was being chased by the knights of bezantium, where Giles almost died? Well how about the part where every single one of them was killed in about 5 seconds from Glory? ...When Glory talked about lowering herself by sharing jabs with the slayer? Tough guy talk?
"Ahh yes, but the trouble is your entire post rests on that one point. The idea that Buffys fight sequences are inferior to Angels relies on you not comparing like for like."
My entire post is based on several points.
1. Angel's fights were more realistic/intricate.
2. Some of the villians on Buffy could not fight.
Etc, etc and more was added.
Ok thats fine. I totally agree that some of the villians on Buffy could not fight, some were downright terrible. All im saying is its easy to make whatever point you like on a subject like this... But my point on being like for like is compare say Buffy S7 to Angel S4. I dont even remember half the fights from S4, with exception to maybe Connor...wheras Buffy had awesome fight sequences, often involving 10 or more people, soemtimes Buffy getting thrashed, sometimes matrix-esk, ...the one-on-one with the tourakan...freaking awesome!
I will admit that the fights in Angel are more raw, mainly because the show lends itself to that. So from episode to episode your obviously going to be seeing more fights...but better? More is not better imo, more just cheapens the decent fight scenes a little if anything
In a civilized discussion, resorting to calm down is another way of saying that perphaps you are becoming too emotional. It's no defense, more so a tip of advice. Nevertheless, let's not become too off topic.
Its hard to understand emotions through the interweb at the best of times but just cause I dont throw smilies in every ten seconds doesnt mean im getting all hot and bothered. 😀
No problem! Let me know when you post it, cant wait.Thank you for helping me to refute it.
