Angel: After the Fall or Buffy Season 8 Comics?

Which Comic Series continuation did BTVS and "Angel" shows justice?

Angel: After the Fall Season 6

or

Buffy Season 8 Comics

and which comic season, could you see being filmed for TV if both shows were renewed for an 8th and 6th season?
 
If I were to compare strictly AtF: 1-17 to S8: 1-40, AtF would win.. by a lot. In my opinion AtF is the best "episode" of Angel ever. The first half of S8 and the entirety of AtF was absolutely fantastic, but S8 21-40 kinda... isn't.

If I compared all IDW post-S5 Angel and Spike comics to DH's S8 meta-series, S8 would win by a landslide.
 
I enjoyed after the fall for the first half, but didn't like where it ended up... especially the actual end, which for me was a bit of a cop out. I did enjoy buffy season 8, but I didn't feel like I was involved with the characters as much. Overall, I'd put it down to teething problems, as for me buffy s.9 and angel and faith are much better
 
I much prefer "After the Fall". S8 is alright, certainly not bad, but it feels absolutely nothing like the series. Almost all the Angel comics, or at least the ones I've read, really capture the feel of the Angel characters and what the show itself was like. And "After the Fall" was a really well written and constructed story. Everything tied together well, everything flowed, it felt exactly like a season of the show.

Both would be pretty tough to translate into a new season of either show, simply for expense reasons alone. But story wise, "After the Fall" is much better.
 
I only read a few issues of AtF but didn't like it and gave up. So I'd say Angel, but it seems allot of people prefer AtF.

Is AtF a contained story, with a start, middle and end that they just continued on. If I'm reading again I prop baby won't read past #17
 
Well, After the fall (1-17) more felt like a movie. It wasn't written as a season, just a continuation of season 5, that IDW later decided to make into a season 6. Season 8 was always suppose to be a season.

So season wise, season 8 would work best. But I want to see both on the screen.
