1) Angel's a vampire again.
2) They DID get out of hell.
3) Demon paparazzi are after him... does this maybe tie into S8?

Allycat, scott confirm that Buffy season 8 take place a year and a half after the show end. Here a timeline.

Buffy the vampire slayer season 7 2002/2003
ANGEL season 5 2003/2004
ANGEL (season 6) After the Fall 2004/2005
Buffy the vampire slayer season 8 2005/2006

And it also answer your question.

Actually, it doesn't, because as we have seen in season 3, Angel had been in hell for many years, but only months had passed on earth. Thus AtF playing out in hell, begs the question how much time does the series take up on Earth.

You taking that out of context. At the end of Buffy season 2,
Angel was sent to hell. In ANGEL After the Fall, Los Angeles become a hell, knida like the Beast did with the sun in ANGEL season 4. So, it not the same as you think it is.

Completely off the subject, but further down on that page is "Star Trek: Crew #1, which features a story set before the original pilot, which apparently refers to the female officer and Cap. Christopher Pike's Executive Officer, known only as "Number 1," the role created by the late Majel Barrett.

We don't know that. Most of the characters say that W&H sent LA to hell. That to me implies it is now located in a Hell-dimension or perhaps a hellish pocket-dimension tied to ours.

I'm not saying I know how time runs there, I'm saying we don't know. None of us can know yet. It still could be the case that time runs the same as on Earth, we just can't prove that.

I think it is too much of a coincidence for Angel to suddenly be followed by paps just when Harmony has blown Buffy and gang's cover. Also, since it was Harmony that told the world about vamps and such I think that is an even greater signifier of a crossover as she is the uniting link for both shows.

I am soooo out of the loop when it comes to the comics, which makes me kinda sad.

Never read a comic in my life, maybe it's time to start.

In your opinions, do you think reading will raise or lower my opinion of Buffy/Angelverse. I am such a huge fan I'm really afraid if I don't like the comics I will hate how it's become!!

You will like the show more after reading the Comics. Angel ATF=Original Angel, Buffy 28>Original Buffy

I had never so much as touched a comic before Buffy and ATF. Honestly, if you love the show you should read them. There will of course be things you don't agree with or do not like but that was the case with the tv show too.

It's like Keanoite says. If you loved the show for the story, you'll love the comics for the same reason. From an early age you've been confronted with television and movies, so you know how to appreciate good acting and directing. If you start reading comics, it might take a while before you learn to appreciate good art/colouring/lettering etc. But the most important factor: story overlaps in television and comics.

Obviously though, there may be some aspects about the story that you don't like. It's important to realise that those aspects aren't bad because it's a comic, so that you don't blame the comic. If it were a season 8 on tv, there'd also be aspect you didn't like.

This cover is making a hell of alot more sense now. Any ideas on this cat? Dez I think she's called.

I think Dez and Dawn need to get together and compare notes on shapeshifting. I wonder if Dez is a Slayer (she goes around with stakes strapped to her leg).

I'm actually starting to look forward to reading Aftermath now, instead of just planning to dutifully read it and hope it didn't suck, which is what I was doing before.

Me too, it's taken me a long while but I finally have been sucked in by the story.

It would be interesting to have a shapeshifting slayer.
