No but there was rarely any bands in Angel, only one I can think of is the song from Shells.

Only song that stood out for me was A Place Called Home by Kim Richey, infact it totally gave me chills. But an Angel score album sounds cool tho.

Does anyone else feel like it would be kind of, um... special (?) if Mandy were to be featured on there? Or what was the song that Julie Benz sang in Caritas? Was it something by Nina Simone?

I agree that it should be mainly an instrumental piece, but I think that emotion evoking pieces should also be features.

Oh my gosh that would be so great! If they made an album of the songs off of the Caritas. Pretty much everyone's sang there, right? Gunn, Wesley and Cordy did their duet, Harmony sang, Fred sang, Lorne always sings. . .

Yeesh, it'd be SO great.

there's no release date for the soundtrack as of yet but there is 1 meant to be in production

I don't know what songs those are by the titles. Do you know if the Angel's hero theme is on there? I love that one.

Music was very important thematically with Angel, right? (Caritas) Buffy seemed all about giving 2nd, 3rd tier bands some exposure, which is cool. Maintaining an alt-rock vibe right as alt-rock was dying out in the culture. Angel was pulling more from the classics, classic rock, disco, pop, even jazz and American standards.

I just watched the Harmony-centered episode from Angel season 5. Where she's framed for murder by a co-worker. And it starts of with that cool Detroit Cobras song. Love them!

How is rock n roll doing these days? Do you young pups in your 20's and teens like it still? Just don't want it to turn into some kind of museum curiosity in the culture, like jazz. (though jazz is making a pretty healthy comeback)

The way I perceive it, you've got a few grungy, alt-rock dinosaurs still around, putting stuff out. And you've got a newer, evolving genre, emerging from classic punk (what would you call it, skate-punk? teen-punk? mall-punk? Not sure. Seems very slick, tight, geared towards 7th graders) Goth, of course, also evolving and getting very slick. And the rest seems like folks recycling stuff, 60's garage rock, 80's new wave rock.
