Angel and Buffy: The Age Difference?

PrincessBuffy and Eleftheria - don't you see how in order for there to be the happy ending that we want, they HAVE to have changed, their love has to be different to what it was.

I think love is something that changes. It's something that has to change in order for people to stay together for long periods of time/forever. If Buffy and Angel are going to be happy together when they do eventually find each other again then they have to use the experience they have gained individually in order to be to together and make it work. If they just go back to how they were they will not be happy together, pretty much because they will both GO BACK to something and they need to move forward.

I've been with my partner for five years. The love we had when we fifteen (as much as I look back on it with so much love and fondness) is nothing like the love we have now. In order to have stayed together for this long we HAD to change, our love had to mature and grow, just like Buffy and Angel's HAS and MUST continue to do.

That's the Bangel I see happening anyway. 🙂

Darn tootin!

This is the song Bangel will dance to at their wedding 😛

Then they'll be dancing to "this video is no longer available. Snappy tune, and so prophetic.
My bad, this one should work

Aww sweet. I still think if it's going to happen, Angel needs to find that Mohra demon and they can start making brothers and sisters for Connor.

I definitely agree. 🙂 If Buffy and Angel end up together- which they might, it will be a much different relationship. Both characters have greatly matured and changed their outlook on many things. If they get together again, then it will be a relationship with jokes, laughter, and fighting the good fight, together. 🙂

The age dif never bothered me, mainly because its hard to compare a vamp to human morals.
In RL i would be a bit shocked at a 27yo dating a 16yo though.
I dont care about Buffy being a minor either(is she?), where i'm from a 16yo can move out and start a family if they want, dunno what it is in America though. So i see it as, Buffys 16, she can do what she wants.

Oh, believe me, in America it's MUCH different. It's really not particularly acceptable nowadays to "start a family" until you're at LEAST thirty, it's more like 40 though. Sixteen year olds are still in school, and in no shape or form would EVER be able to move out. 🙂 Not until college.

Really? I always thought it's like that in USA. I thought people are comfy and free for doing stuff like that. Maybe I'm under the influence of teen movies 😀 But I know I was shocked when I found out my 15 year old neibghour is pregnant and that girl I went in Elementary school with is also expecting :O

Well, I live in America too, and around here people normally start families around 22 or 23. Teen pregnancy is definitely NOT uncommon either although it is frowned upon. Besides that, at 17 you're perfectly able to move out on your own legally. I guess it not only depends on the country, but the state as well.

I guess so. 🙂 Like I'd personally never dream of anything like that until I'm way past my 20's but I guess that differs from place to place.

As for teen pregnancy, it's relatively common here in New York. Like, I knew a pregnant 14 year old who went to my school. But yes, it's still frowned upon. 🙂

You live in New York. I'm so jealous. That's like, the most awesomest city in the whole world. It's the god of the cities. And 14? Woow. That's young.

That's our Oriana, the young sophisticate 😉

I grew up in Chicago, another huge city, but very different then New York. There's nothing like growing up in a big city. I remember spending my summers as a child hanging out in the art museum downtown, swimming in the fountain at Grant Park with the huge statues of mermaids and dragons, and going to nightly carnivals looking at the animals in the menageries (they're not outlawed). I remember it would get so hot in the summer that I'd sit in our apartment in a tub of cold water and read 🙂

I remember standing for the first time on the top of the Sears Tower (tallest building in the Western Hemisphere) and being able to see the whole city, stretching for miles and miles. Actually, I didn't even know that a world existed outside of Chicago until I was about ten, literally. Chicago was all I knew and all I needed.

I still miss it. Seattle is so much different; different vibe, different people, much greener and smaller town attitude.

Nah, you haven't lived until you've lived in Sydney. 😛

Boston is also a wonderful city, love that place to death 🙂

Guys, you're making me want to kill you. I live in a small town. Well my country is smaller then whole New York, and that's true fact. My childhood was on the playgrounds, riding cycle with my friends, making bubbles.. But I always wanted to live in a big city like New York.

My entire country could fit into the state of New York 9 times. I grew up in a very similar way as you have and I still managed to see those amazing cities (and a few others to boot). Just because you are born somewhere doesn't mean you have to stay there forever 😉

I know. And I'm not planning too. New York, here I come 😀

Haha don't worry Tajana, I don't live in the city. 🙂 As my mother says, the city is a pretty dangerous place to raise kids. 😀 I live near the city, though. But my actual location is a very very small town. Or rather it used to be, before I moved. But my old town was only two miles long. 😀

Well, when you're older, you should visit New York...perhaps you could go to college there.
