Well Joss Wheadon did say that if Angel(the show) never got picked up or got cancelled these two charecters would return to the show as regulars. If Angel did get cancell and they went back to the show how do you think Season4 would be? and if you want you can think of how the seasons after that would be also.
 
I think that after a few eps apart Angel and Buffy'd get together,Cordelia still would be mean and sarcastic..The season'd be so much more interesting...
 
If those two did return would they of had Anya stick around, would they of had Riley stick around?
Riley would of defiently gone because of having Angel and Spike, but thinking about it they could of got ridden of Spike too. It would of been really different. I think Anya would of actually stayed, her and Cordy, HILARIOUS! Would Tara of been brought in? So many questions being fired out, but it would of changed a lot if it got cancelled.
 
I think that they might have left Spike out, but Anya just had to be added..As for Tara-without her there'd be no Evil Willow in s6....

By having Angel and Cordy back that could of made Joss decide to make Willow evil in S5 instead of delaying it to S6 (Was the orginal plan.) By having Cordy and Angel back the main relationship would of not been focused on Buffy and Angel, so Joss would of made the whole evil thing causing Tara's death because there would of been such a big fan base behind them, because everyone was seeking the Buffy and Angel relationship.
 
That's pretty possible.I also think that Joss would focus less on Dawn, if there was still a need to bring her...
 
Apprently Dawn was Angel's replacement, you might not think that is right but it is. Angel was someone important to Buffy, and so is Dawn so therefore Dawn replaced Angel.
 
Dawn was planned since Season3 to change the show around so she still wouldve come. She wasnt Angels replacement, thats more of Rileys job. Just like Joss planned on killing Joyce since Season4
 
There was an article somewhere that Dawn was Angel's replacement as Riley was just there to kill time...
 
We can say that both Dawn and Riley was a replacement. But you can't stop Bangel... I think they would add Anya. Cordy wouls be pissed, Spike would have been killed off! Hopefully, beening no forever of Spuffy. Angel and Buffy will live happily ever after.
 
Joyce's Death was actually planned in Mid three, she had decided to leave the show anyway, (which is why you only see her in a couple of eps in four) she was in Europe. I don't see how they could have kept Cordy as a character in Sunnydale, after the way things were went for her in the end of 3. She would have had some major change. I thought Anya filled her shoes perfectly. (Anya's love of Cash, the fact that she and Buff were never really friends, and of course Xander. Oh yeah Willow pretty much hated her too. ect ect) Not that Cordy's visions couldn't have helped out the scoobies, I just think the characters course was run on buffy. She fit much better In LA. IF the would have brought them both back though, it's safe to say Cordy would have definately grown as a character much the way she did on Angel, and I'd pay money to say that spike wouldn't be the only famous Vampire with a chip in his head.
 
Spike would of been killed off, now that would of been good. It focused on him too much, especially during S7 so if they did kill him it would of worked out so much better.

That'd be v.interesting situation and as Angel'd have been brought bach there'd be no need for Spike..
