Here's a little item submitted for discussion: If Nina, in the throes of passion, were to bite Angel, would he become 1)A vampire who becomes a werewolf every full moon night, or 2)some other kind of demon altogether? Bear in mind that whether Nina is in human or wolf form, her bite would still be contagous (remember, Oz was bitten by his cousin or nephew, and he had to call the child's parents to find out if he really was a werewolf)

First things first. Oz and Nina are different Wolves, so it doesn't necessarily follow that they would share the same things.

I've seen this debated on here, citing Underworld as evidence, but personally, I've never really believed that these Vampires were capable fo that specific 'mutation'.

Wouldnt you think he would be some sort of cross between a vampire/wolf... OR it might not have even affected him ???

ooh, i love that banner! well-blended, cool words, AND cool font! :D
I don't think it would affect him at all.

The Vampire Demon in him is strong enough to fight off most things...why not the 'gene' that is transfered from the Wolf.

yeah i think so too... i dont think angel would really be affected.. its not like anything else affects him besides a stake. lol :silly:

Well since it's probably not actually a gene, cause that would indicate being born with it...

I think it's more of a virus or disease, so in the same ways that vampires don't get sick or other diseases, Angel wouldn't be able to be turned into a werewolf.

Also, doesn't a werewolf need to be in wolf form for the bite to take?

🙂

Well i said Gene cause you may have seen I was up late(here) last night and i was up at 6.30am getting ready for workmen.

As for 'in wolf' well I agree that makes sense, Oz can't have been bitten while his cousin was in Wolf Mode as surely he would have noticed.

But thats the reason for my 'Oz and Nina are different Species' comment🙂

🙂

Remember Oz was bitten by his young cousin, then later had to call to confirn that the cousin was a wolf, indicating, to me at least, that the cousin was in human form at the time of biting.

nah, i'm with the rest of these guys. if we're thinking that lacanthropy is a disease or an infection, then it would make sense that vampires would be immune to it. i mean, they can't get cancer, which was proved many times with Spike's smoking, so wouldn't the lacanthropy...whatever affect them the same way...as in, it doesn't?

I thought we already knew Nina was a different species from Oz. Wasnt it mentioned (well not Oz in particular but dieefernt species)

yep, the doctor guy mentioned something about the wold being a rare breed...am i remembering this right?

Thats what I thought.

A question I have though, Oz scratched Willow in Fear, Itself. Wouldnt that have made her a werewolf. I know thats normally what happens in werewolf things.

yeah, but would it work with just a scratch? i know it does in some verse's, like Anita Blake, for example. but i'm not sure about the Buffyverse.
plus, Oz change because of a spell. would that affect the wolfiness?

I guess it doesnt work with a scratch. It was just a curiosity. Cos Ive seen so many things where thats enough to do it 🙂

i remembered something else last night. in the Buffyverse, werewolves don't revert back to human form when they're killed. Remeber Kane the hunter said it was hard to skin them when they were alive. but with Nina's form of werewolf, she had to be eaten alive, 'cause she would revert back to human when she was killed, which proves that she was a different form of werewolf to Oz and Verruca.
