Angel ~ Champion in Yearend Rankings
Dave McCoy of MSN Entertainment put out his ranking of 2003's Most Daring TV list. It is a compilation of what he considers to be the top on, "challenging television." On his top ten list,Angel ranks in at number three, the only other shows to rank higher are The Wire and The Office. Robert Bianco with USA Today also did a Top 10 List (Best and Worst) and while they were not actually numbered, in his list Angel comes in as the seventh show mentioned. "TV's best and wittiest fantasy," Bianco comments, "But the show's best asset is still its star, the under-appreciated David Boreanaz.
Another ranking including a cast member from Angel comes from Amy Armatangelo, Zap2It's TV Gal. Her end-of-the-year listing was the 10 best characters on television. Ranking in at number three was the "peroxide prince" Spike. It seems that 2003 was the year for a bigger audience to be brought into the fandom for Angel, and we welcome everyone into the family.
