Angel and Reba
Reba is cooking supper for her family, including her annoying friend Barbara Jean. She's been away from men for a while, and BJ is trying to get her a man. Reba noticed a strange man out the glass door as she took dirty dishes to the sink. She shrugs it off like it must've been a shadow. Later after supper, Reba is alone on the couch watching TV. There's a knock on the door, she gets up to open it to a dark-hairedman dressed in black. He has a pale skin with a smile.
"Hi, can I help you?" Reba asks with a smile.
"Yeah, Do you know a lady Barbara Jean?" Angel says. Reba looks the other way with a stern look like 'What was she thinking?!'.
"Yes, she set you and me up?" Reba asks.
"Yes, I hope it's ok. If not I will understand." Angel says. "By the way, I'm Angel."
"Nice to meet you, come on in Angel." Reba steps aside to let Angel in, he comes in and they both sit on the couch.
"You like to stay up late?" Angel asks with a smile looking at Reba.
"Sometimes. My ex-husband is married to Barbara who hooked us up."
"Oh I see why you and her aren't close." Angel says.
"Oh we are, just not like sisters." Reba laughs. "I have 3 kids, Chyenne, Kyra and Jake. Chyenne married her boyfriend Van, they have a baby girl Elizabeth." Reba explains.
"Chyenne and Van were a little young." Angel smiles.
"Yep." Reba smiles back.
Angel and Reba talk for a while and Chyenne and Van come in and see a man with Reba.
"Hey I didn't we had company" Chyenne says smiling.
"Hi Chyenne, this is Angel, Barbara told him about me." Reba tells them."
"Nice to meet you, your mom has told me about you and the family." Angel says after he gets up and shakes their hands.
"Hey not to be rude but we're kinda tired, see you all in the morning." Chyenne says as she and Van go upstairs to bed.
"Nice kids." Angel observes.
"Yeah they are. Kyra and Jake are with friends tonight, amybe you can meet them tomorrow?"
"Yeah. I'm sure they'll have fun with us." Angel says.
"That's fine. You can stay here." Reba suggests.
"No that's ok, I don't want to be in the way. I'll see you tomorrow." Angel says and he and Reba stand by the door. They share a light kiss, then he leaves. Reba closes the door and has a smile on her face. 'That guy can kiss' she thinks to herself.
Next morning, Reba is up making breakfast. BJ comes over and sees Reba.
"Hi Reba."
"Hi BJ, Where did you know Angel from?" Reba asks.
"Oh he was one of Brock's patients and I thought he would be good for you."
"That's sweet, but next time ask me first. Don't get me wrong he's a sweetheart, but I really don't like being set up, ok?" Reba explains.
"Yes ma'am." BJ smiles a goofy smile.
