#1 Picks up where we left off. The fang gang fighting for there life. Illyera has a flashback to her last moments with Wes after killing Vale. He tells her to be a champion for good and always help Angel. She agrees. Back to the fight at hand. Just as a bat demon is about to bite off Angel's head two arrows pin its wings to the ground. Faith,Conner,Gwen,Bethany (who has learned how to use her powers after starting an Incest survivers group just outside LA) Faith askes "Are we fashionably late or what?" Angel in the meantime has his own flashback. Arch Duke talks about how he captured the last living dragon and keeps it as pet. This gives him the idea of how to turn the tide. He hops on the dragon and and shows him the poison tipped ring. Knowing he is free he helps Angel flame Roast the demon armies. Last line of the book is an off panel voice telling Angel. "The Senior Partners would like to have a word with you."

Just before sunrise Angel is in a graveyard. The head stones of Doyle,Cordy and Wes are together. Issuse closes with his bare hands on the hollowed grounds smoking and a vamped out face
