Man, I'm a little miffed.

I had a $75 gift card to Best Buy so yesterday I said, im taking the plunge. Let me go get the Angel box set in all it's awesome glory. So I did, and now with my Buffy box set I feel super complete 🙂

But, i opened it last night to take a peek inside and I flipped through my episode guide and the first couple of pages are upside down and in some weird order! About the first 3 or 4. I thought at first when i opened it that it was one of those half upside down, half right side up things but nope.... total misprint.

Do you think i could contact anyone and get a new one sent to me (just the episode guide thing)? I'm pretty bummed about it.

Also wondering if this was an issue for anyone else, just out of curiousity.

On a side note, man the letter from Joss is awesome! Way longer and cooler than the one from the Buffy set.

no they won't let me do that. once its opened, they won't exchange, my brother used to work there and i have a couple of friends who do. it's their policy. once the shrink wrap is off, all bets are off. I'd contact fox but i have a feeling because i didn't buy it through their store, they can't help me.

Oh well, i think im stuck with the messed up episode guide. 🙁 majorly bummed out.

Hit ebay and see if you could get another episode guide? also the letter....Dude, Puppets!!!....gotta love Joss!

I would consider contacting the manufactuer and seeing what happens...you never know

He may have a point there if only so many of them are dodgy like that

When I bought the Angel Season 2 boxset at Best Buy, one of them was defective so I exchanged it for another one. Your's is defective, I doubt they'll say you can't exchange it for one that isn't.

well then you lucked out for sure. when i tried to return a defective pc game (it had two installation discs instead of one installation and one play disc like it was supposed to) i went through hell to get it exchanged there, because they told me it was the manufacturer's fault, NOT best buys. I got my dad in there to get the manger to reconsider (my dad can be an intimidating man!) and it worked. But yeah, apparently thats the rule employees are told, that it isnt the store but the manufacturer who messed up.

I'm going to see if i can contact the manufacturer like Keonoite suggested.

Damn, what kind of Best Buy is that? On the reciept it clearly sates, "Open computer software, movies, music, and video games can be exchanged for the identical item but cannot be returned for a refund." I would go over there and raise all type of hell to get my stuff right.

Apparently i was just talking to my brother about it and he said yeah, its def against what the receipt said and he'd try to exchange things whenever he could but the managers didn't like it. He said part of it is, they just want to sell what they have and not go through the hassle of sending back the defective ones to the manufacturer themselves, or having to not be able to make a profit off of all the ones in stock. It's funny because i have heard from a few friends who work at diff Best buys in various boroughs here in NYC and they all say the same thing, they are told to send them to the manufacturer.
