Angel CD Won't Be Released in U.S.

This just in from Robert Kral:

Another good omen for Angel music fans in regards to the upcoming CD of the series' musical scores, "Angel album looks like a go: nearing final stages of completion."

But along with the good news, Rob also had some slightly bad news to add to it, and that was that the CD will not be released in the USA, but will be everywhere else in the viable marketing world. No explanation from Fox/EMI was given as to this decision or when the actual release date is scheduled. So, all you Colonials out there, make friends with your Northern Lights neighbors so you won't be left out of the excitement when the first Angel music CD finally hits the streets!

Fans please note that Fox announced to Rob they did not want a 'songs' album and he had to specially request the two that are included. With a current total of 24-tracks containing over 76-minutes of music many fan favorites made it onto the list including: Hero for Doyle, the Darla suites, L.A. sung by Christian Kane and a track by Andy Hallett as well as the Darling Violetta Theme (although not an extended version).
 
That's such a shame for the Americans, although thankfully stores like 101cd and cd-wow exist.

Just noticed (im slow), still no date, hope its out before Xmas, or Halloween for the corny tie-ininess. Would like to play it at work (if it happens to enter the charts but I'd imagine it did, Buffy did) but it would be not poppy enough for Woolworths I'd imagine.
 
Maybe the reason why it is going to be released in places like her in canada, toronto, is because they currently air angel, buffy, and firefly.They air the shows continually all over the world, excluding America & countries where it hadn't aired before.
Probably, it was to get revenge on the wb for cancelling angel.Maybe, I don't know.What do you guys think?
 
From reading that, it sounds stupid why would they realease it everywhere else, but yet not in the US? Thats just stupid. Until the people give a freakin good explanation, I'm so going to be against them!! 😡 I was soooooo looking forward to that CD to!
 
Hopefully, their will be a later US release like you said. Did they do this with any of the Buffy albums when they frst came out?
 
That's not very fair.

Maybe Americans will be able to buy it off Amazon or somewhere like that. I've got my fingers crossed for ya 😀.
 
I really feel bad for our neighbours to the south. It seems really strange that we'll get it, but you won't. Really weird.

Ditto on that (I'm also Canadian as well, lol, if you were wondering) -- we're normally the ones that get the raw end of the deal lol -- this is weird!
This is so weird. Angel is set in the USA, aired in the USA, and taped in the USA, but we don't get the CD. Thank god for friends in other countries, Ebay, and Amazon.ca.
 
Hmm well you've all got to be extra nice to your Canadian friends and maybe we can send some down South of the border. 🙂

Very very odd indeed. I really don't see why Space running Buffy, Angel and Firefly has anything to do with it as I also watch re-runs of Buffy on Fox and I know they air re-runs in other countries.
 
so is there a way that americans can get this cd. if you know? this really disappoints me because I am a huge fan of angel.
 
You would have to purchase it from a non-US store (amazon.co.uk, amazon.ca, play.com), or see if some place like amazon.com sells an import version.
 
oh....I wish they would release it in teh U.S....cause I really would like to get it when it comes out. hmmm...hopefully I'll be able to get it off of Amazon, if not there's always Ebay. Or hey...if anyone wants to mail it to me I'll pay ya for it, I'll even throw in some extra money for your troubles! Lol...
