I know that there are varying opinions on the whole Angel and Cordelia relationship and whether he should've been with her more than Buffy or the other way around. I'm a 100% Angel & Buffy shipper and supporter. Now we're to work on the theory that some hold that Angel was really and truly in love or falling in love with Cordelia for this topic that I find to be interesting. At the end of what I believe is the episode 'Awakening' Angel has been having this one big dream/hallucination on how the string of events are unfolding. At the end of that episode Angel and Cordelia are together and they essentially decide to have sex. Towards the very end where Angel loses his soul he whispers "Buffy". I've always wondered from a plot or storyline pov what the purpose of that was. Where did that one line of dialogue really mean in the whole. Me personally I see it as a thing of no matter what other feelings Angel may develop for other women that Buffy is always gonna be 'the one' for him. I'm wondering on what thoughts any of you have on this particular thing.
