BLIND DATE

The Good;

Lindsay's dilemma and Angel's solution to it. The final battle. Best of all though has to be Gunn's entrance to WR&H, one day he'll have a very different persepctive. The mind-reader line up is also a winner.

The Bad;

Would WR&H really be so forgiving of Lindsey?

Best line:

Cordy; "Are you telling me self-mutilating psycho assassin chick reached enlightenment?"

Jeez, how did they get away with that?

Angel shows remarkably little sympathy for Lindsey's story of his dead sibling but then he was from an age where most kids didn't make it out of infancy. Killing Lee is horrible, scumbag though he is, even Lilah has a horrified reaction to it, suggesting the woman beneath the mask.

Apocalypses: 4

Buffy characters on Angel; 11, Cordy talks to Willow here but we don't see her. She says hello to Wes, AH and AD having just married

Wetherby, Collins and Smith. Angel, Cordy, Oz, Spike, Buffy, Wes, Faith, Darla

Questions and observations;

Vanessa Brewer is actually played by CC's stunt double, always nice when that happens (LL's stunt double on Xena would go on to play a recurring characters in the show). This also marks the entrance of the great Sam Anderson as Holland. Angel kills another human and has very little remorse about doing so, very different from Buffy. The scroll refers to the 'vampire with the soul', obstensibly Angel but by season 5 maybe Spike too?

Marks out of 10; 8/10, good ep

Good ep. I never knew she's Charisma's stunt double before, Wow. I think Vanessa is cool, but still, she's evil.

Ok, I'm sad that Lee died. I like the actor, but screw Lee. 😛 Poor Lindsey, he's a bastard in the end, but I forgave him because he walked away from W&H in season 2. I feel sorry a little when Angel pretended to fall sleep when he was listening Lindsey's childhood story.

Gunn's scene is epic win. I rewatched this scene for like 10 times the first time I watched this ep.

A lot of people feel Angel is rather uncaring when hearing Lindsey's story but remember he's a Georgian where poverty and infant mortality were the norm

I wonder if she's the girl everyone always talks about being in the crowd at the factory in The Wish?

Which girl? What do they talk about? 😵

I searched her info yesterday and I found a pic that she fell of the building as Faith in Graduation Day. 🙂

Apparently there's a girl who closely resembles Faith amongst the crowd at The Factory in The Wish. Eliza Dushku has stated at a convention that it's not her so it may very possibly have been this girl earning extra cash as an extra

And thus the beginning of a long and sexually tense relationship between Angel and Lindsey. 😀
One of my favorite eps of the season. I really feel sorry for Lindsey. Angel was kind of a jerk to him. I know he's a little evil, but if Angel will be nice to Faith, why not to Lindsey? I think he doesn't like that Lindsey is smarted than he is. And has better hair! 😀

It always bothered me. Lindsey wasn't any worse than Faith and yet Angel won't even let Buffy yell at Faith but he is okay with having Lindsey assasinated. Maybe Buffy was right that it was the "heaving bosoms".

Lindsey's been screwing with Angel for an entire season. And is not half as pretty as Faith

Don't know about that. Sure, Faith is smoking hot, but I'd say Lindsey's about half as pretty at least :smile:.

The Bad;

Would WR&H really be so forgiving of Lindsey?

Well, it's not necessarily the firm as a whole. Holland Manners is the one making the decision here. Looking at their interactions throughout the series, I think Holland definitely has a fondness for Lindsey, and recognises his potential to be a truly valuable asset to Wolfram and Hart. It's not hard for me to believe that he would cut Lindsey some slack in a situation where a less valued employee would be terminated.
