Nice counterplay at the end when the family get back together and Angel Investigations walk away as if they are a family too.

The Bad;
Rather an uninvolving story although a nice twist

Questions and observations;
Cordy can cook, who'd have thought? Angel mentions Doyle in poignant moment. Cool bait and switch, we think the dads the villain. Also we have Kate in her middling phrase, aware that Angel's a vamp but not totally anti.The scenes with the circle are very reminiscent of classic Brit horror flick The Devil Rides Out (Christopher Lee as a good guy!) Ricks magic, the LA branch of The Magic Shop. Cordy puts her shopping skills to good use. A lot more christian than normal. 'Three blind mice' is actually about 3 bishops executed by Bloody Mary. Anyone know what rock-a-bye-baby is about? Lizzie Borden was actually found innocent but the circumstantial evidence against her was overwhelming.

I didn't mind this episode too much, nice mention of Doyle. It was obvious Angel missed him.

I thought this was a great episode and it was nice to show that evil doesn't have to come in supernatural form, though I have to say wes' injury would have probably killed him and it was dealt with with a little bandage!

The whole Wesley being a-okay after being stabbed in the neck with the cross has always kind of upset me..
Pretty much agree with everyone here - Amazing third act, nice mention of Doyle and I also liked how they played with the audience's perceptions of the father. I thought this episode was of Rod Serling quality - definite Twilight Zone factor.
 
Soon enough Buffy will call Riley a bigot for cleaving to a 'humans good, demons evil' philosophy, but really it's AtS that introduces moral ambiguity to the Buffyverse. When Doyle says 'sure, they're demons, but they're not bad people' in "Hero", this is something that, despite three years of fighting the supernatural in Sunnydale, is a completely new concept for Cordy. Good demons and, as we see here, evil humans. I think the Buffyverse's tapestry is made much richer by the idea that humans can be evil and demons can be good. It's something that we see time and time again on AtS, and it really starts here.

But the mother is one of the most annoying characters in the whole series ('you are NOT an Angel!').
 
I will admit this episode was good to me but the twist kind of creeped me out lol, I don't know why it did but overall a good episode.
 
I really liked this episode. I knew from the begining that the kid was posessed, I mean it was so obvious.
Doyle was mentioned again, I was glad, Angel sure do miss him.
 
Well, anything with kids and evil is creepy, period. Yes, the twist was great. And I agree the mom was annoying. But the further development of Wesley's story & character is what's interesting to me. We get a small glimpse into his childhood, and how it influence who he is. I like the father. Angel is so good with kids, it's interesting to see this in context of Angel as a father later on. The demon's concept is poignant toward both Angel & the father, sneering "Two great protectors". I really liked this episode, much better than She.

Well, I think, it was quite weird, how much Wes got influenced by the things the demon said.
Luckily he failed at Angel and he did well....
 
I like this episode, it's one of my favourite from this season. I think the plot twist with the Demon wanting to escape the child is great and was really unexpected.
