Questions and observations;
The title is derived from the term when a pregnant mother feels her child move inside her for the first time (rather puts a different perspective on 'Highlander' huh?). How does Wes know so much about childbirth? WR&H lose audio for a crucial 2 days, Jasmine/PTB interference? Linwood is played by the same actor who was in 80s detective show 'Crazy like a fox'.

I just watched that episode again, and it reminded me of something I never understood. What was the whole point with that guy from W&H that call some 'Master Tarfall' and tell him to contact the 'others'? Right now I can't remember if that ever had an explaination.

Anyone got an idea? Was that somehow related to Jasmine/Skip?

I'm not sure about that. I assumed that it was either something to do with Sahjhan, the vampire cult, or something else (Jasmine etc). Maybe I'll get a better indication as I continue in my rewatch.

Boy, Lindwood Murrow is no Holland Manners, I tell you what. Love Cordy's Darla punch, heh-heh. I think it's interesting that the episode is called Quickening, because before the advent of modern science & everything that's known in our times about pregnancy, the Catholic Church believed that that's when the soul entered the baby. And we just found out last episode that this baby has a soul. But what I don't get is that we know the baby has a heartbeat & a soul, but the gang is talking about killing it.

And don't even get me started about the Braxton Hicks nonsense, they're not that painful. But I won't get into the [inaccurate, annoying, melodramatic] way labor & childbirth are portrayed in film & television, including here. But surely with the large demon population in LA there would be some kind of demon midwives? Not that they would help that much in this matter, it is an unprecedented event.
