Sense and sensitivity

The Good;
Very funny to watch the cops acting supersensitive but also affecting to see Kate's father and all his little putdowns of her and her emotive speech is a heartbreaker if there ever was one

The Bad;
Hard to put your finger on it but sometimes this ep feels almost too clever for it's own good

Best line:
Angel "My parents were great, tasted a lot like chicken" (and as we later learn he's not joking)

Jeez, how did they get away with that?
Nasty the way little Tony keeps calling Kate a bitch

Guantanamo Bay; Kate's interrogation technique leaves a little something to be desired. Angel beats up another of WR&H's lackey. Trevor comments that in his day they didn't need sensitivity as anyone who read Elmore Leonard knows. Cordy's mum calls for her, one of the few references to her family in the series. Angel uses a mobile phone and night vision. Our first sight of WR&H's HQ and Lee. You've got to hand it to the sensitivity coach, he has a point about Kate and co. How lovely does Kate look in her dress? Rather similar to Dawn's in season 5?

Questions and observations;
Could have been great but just lacks that certain something? Nice to have Kate ask Angel for help and be the focus of the ep. First appearance of Lee. We're later told that WR&H 'own' the police but obviously not yet.

Gotta love "Herb Saunders, Baltimore!" and "I think someone need a hug". And those mafias are nasty. I hate them so much. Umm, don't kill me, but had a crush on Lee(or Ali or something).

Lol, yes to both questions. I love when Angel does thing that I didn't expect. Only good or funny things, though. ;)
I really don't like Kate much, so this isn't my favorite episode, but it's pretty good. Sensitive Angel is *so* wonderful. "I think someone needs a hug..."

Still, one can't help but feel bad for Kate at the end when we think her dad is going to say something nice, but he just tells her how embarrassing it was. What is that guy's problem?? Ugh.
 
I really hate this episode overall. I never liked Kate, so I was annoyed to have an entire ep devoted to her, but I have to admit I felt so bad for her for the way her dad treated her. 🙁

This is totally cracking me up. The way Angel bats his eyelashes on the one side.
Wow, 4 out of 10? I must be the only one but I LOVE this episode. Just seen it for the first time. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I think it was brilliant.
 
I quite liked this one. I loved Kate's character, and i agree her dad's an idiot.
Nice Angel was so funny but in a totally cringeworthy way. The 'painbow' line, omg.
Plus Angel had a nice shirt. Jokes. 6.5/10.
 
This episode had me nearly rolling on the floor in hysterics. :lmao: DB was great when he was in sensitive mode.

I love this episode sensitive Angel is a hoot. I like Kate up until the time she becomes Angel's enemy in sombulist when she finds out he is a vampire.
 
Let's admit: the episode itself didn't have much on. It was actually pretty darn boring 😀 But it was so hilarious that you gotta love it.
 
AtS back when it wasn't so involved in detailed storylines that it could just sit back and have a laugh for a whole episode...

Odd that there's a 'Kate episode' though. I guess they were grooming Kate to be a more central character in the show? Wonder why they decided not to.
 
Ok, so I haven't seen the whole show yet, I'm at the beginning at season 3 now, but this is def. one of my favourite episodes so far! I thought it was SO funny! I don't like Kate very much, but I thought she was really likeable in this ep. Aaaand: "You know antony, you could be a rainbow, not a painbow!" Come on people, that's comedy gold! 😀

lol I liked that line so much I made a banner. Also I agree about the Kate thing she was likable up until a certain point, this episode I loved her in.
Kate's speach to her father was really, really heartbreaking.. but seeing cops so sensitive was too funny!

Little Tony is not that little. What's up with that Mafia names? They are always so different then they should be.
