THE RING
The Good;
Lilah! I know she's an evil ***** but I can't help loving her anyway. Cordy and Wes' police double act is also a highlight
The Bad;
Pretty much the rest, Angel as Spartacus, not bad but not very involving. The brother's plan to get Angel into the ring seems unnecessarily complex? Also Angel seems to be very easily overcome by their thugs considering what we know him to be capable off?
Best line:
Wes; Something's going down, something with 'The Man'

Jeez, how did they get away with that?
Wes pinning the guys hand to the wall with his crossbow bolt then twisting it. Fingers in a box One McNamara brother casually killing the other.
Apocalypses: 4
Angel Cliches
Damsel in distress; 15,
Inverting the Hollywood cliche;
In disguise; 3
DB get's his shirt off; no but he wears his vest top most of the time

Wes; 2
Doyle; 1

Notches on Fang Gang bedpost:
Cordy: 2 ?+Wilson/Hacksaw Beast
Angel: 1;Buffy

Kinky dinky:
Wes states that Cordy wears high heels and a push up bra.
Captain Subtext;
Cordy insinuates that Angel cross dresses.
Know the face, different character; 2
Parking garages;
4,
Guantanamo Bay;
Wes tortures the bookie
Buffy characters on Angel;
6; Angel, Cordy, Oz, Spike, Buffy, Wes
Questions and observations;
Cordy considers calling the police. Even if they believed her is demon fighting illegal? Cordy mentions her pony, Lilah's talk with Angel foreshadows him joining WR&H in season 5
Marks out of 10; 5/10, an ep mainly notable for the introduction of Lilah

I used to love this episode the first time I watched it. But the next time I watch, it became more cheesy. 😛

That thing on the wrist is cool, though. And how can they die when they cross the red line? I mean, they go *poof* and left nothing but dust.

I like the end when AI wondered if they did the right thing to free the demons. I love how they show us that demons aren't always bad or stupid. 😉

Is this the episode where we are introduced to Lilah? I can't remember.

I don't mind this episode too much though. 7/10.

Yes, they knocked Angel out and then he woke up in Lilah's office.
Yep here's Lilah and she's brilliant from the start, Stephanie obviously making a big impression. Note the Angel/Lilah subtext right from the start

I liked this episode however we see angel grab Jack McNamara and take him hostage which ok didn't work out but it showed he could do it and later he has the chance to grab the other brother the same way and doesn't, why not? The guards would obviously obey his demands this time. Val Trepkos was cool I would have liked to see more of him in the show.

Suprised to see people saying they didn't really enjoy this episode. I think it was the first episode I saw after about a five year break from Buffy and Angel and I really enjoyed it.

I especially loved the part when Angel, Cordy, and Wes all realized that no, they didn't just release the innocent captives, they actually just set loose a bunch of demons. 😀

Speaking of such, I was pretty confused as to why Angel had such qualms about killing the demons, after all, doesn't he do that every day? Still, I loved the whole Demons Uniting thing where they all helped each other and stopped fighting. 🙂

Almost certainly, Angel's major objection wasn't to killing the demons themselves as much as doing it to entertain and profit their captors. Also, we never were shown or given any definite impression as to whether, outside the confines and atmosphere of the arena, the demons involved were evil, good, or somewhere in between.

I always liked it. It had that 'Gladiator' feel, and some of the scenes are hilarious, like Cordelia going to hide behind a door in case the bracelet cause an explosion. Also when one of the demon steal the key from Wes with his tongue hahaha =P

That always made me ponder. We never heard of these demons again. I thought Cribb and Val Trepkos could have been interesting characters 😛 Oh well!

This was a great episode i think 😀
But i guess it did have some 'flaws' or 'bad points' but if you look past them, its just fun.... 😀
