Angel & Faith #1 or Buffy #1?

Shouldn't you be voting on the quality and writing of the book, not the characters in the book? I don't understand your logic. It seems like blind fanboy-ism to like everything that has the Scoobies in it

Hope this isn't butting in, but, that's kind of reading a bit much between the lines, no? I didn't get that from her post at all.

To me, the writing is better on BtVS; the art is better on A&F. (It's my subjective opinion, and I don't thrust it on you.) Both series are very good.

I dislike Faith and I hate Angel but their comic so far shows more promise. It has an actual plot rather than a random collection of jokes and winks at all kinds of shippers. The art is many times better, it builds on the S8 story instead of ignoring most it like Buffy 9.01. did. Yes, it has zero originality (Angel seeking redemption? Beaten to death much, Joss?) but then again so does Buffy 9.01. Let's see - Buffy is feeling lost and is pretending that she is fine. Am I describing the Freshman? Early S6? Early S3? Early S9? BtVS also has way too many characters considering the restrictions of the comic medium. Many of them are reduced to interacting on screen pretty much with Buffy only most of the time which doesn't do much for their development. Willow and Xander don't seem to even talk to each other any more and never get any scenes between just the two of them. Everybody is bizarrely blaming Buffy for the breaking of the Seed rather than for sleeping with Angel and later letting him go. The "apocalypse" seem to have left no lasting impression in anybody except for...you guessed it the breaking of the Seed. You'd think nothing much happened in S8 except for that famous breaking.

Also, as a G/J shipper, I was stoked to be seeing some canon G/J and also heartbroken as to what brought it forth.
