What do you guys think both shows would of been like if both shows were in sunnydale. All characters still there but instead of la its sunnydale as well

It seems to me that it would still be the same show rather than a spinoff, and both (and their respective plots) would keep mixing with the other. That is, I don't see how it could work and be like either show as they'd both impact the stories of the other.

Yes, I agree. Having two separate heroes (given that the shows were on different network) meddling in each other's business would be very complicated.

I think the shows would've been weird because it would've been the same show. But that's a story I'd like someone to write because it could be a great story! 🙂

On a hand it could be interesting and on another hand it would be really difficult to do that because the story of one would obviously impact the others. But if you are an intelligent writer and if you are not afraid of battle, this is for you !

I dont think Angel would have started angel investigations had he not moved away from Buffy. He had a one track mind when in proximity to her. This was obviously made clear when he and spike "run into her" in the last season of ATS

It would have been, at the very best, very difficult to carry on two separate story lines in a small town location like Sunnydale. If Buffy and her crew had moved to L A for some reason, however, they could have probably pulled it off with only minor crossovers. Two police series, "Dragnet" and its spinoff, "Adam 12," managed to do it back in the 80's. and it worked quite well for them.

Buffy and Angel were in love. He had to get away because they couldn't be together. He felt he couldn't give her what she deserved as a woman in their relationship. If he'd have stayed in Sunnydale their on/off romance would probably have continued as they would have been in each others midst, and that's not necessarily healthy for either of them.

It would have been a continuance of Buffy more or less rather than a spin off, only it would of had Angel in for more episodes haha.

I think it might of been a good idea, it would have given more of a chance for Buffy/Angel in terms of their relationship and there has always been a divided crowd on that one, and after a while I warmed to the Angel/Darla reunion in Angel, how would that have played out if both the gangs of Buffy/Angel were in the same place for longer? Angel wanted to help Darla, I doubt Buffy would have warmed to the idea, just as much as the gang in Angel didn't warm to it until her pregnancy.

Stories ended up being very different for it to be in the same place I think. As I said, goes back to there probably could have easily of been another televised season of Buffy and another one of Angel.

I've always thought that it would of been good to have maybe of had Buffy have a cameo role in the final episode of Angel if anything as well. As everyone has said there would have been ways to have worked it, and it probably would have been complicated at times, but there probably would have been ways to write around it
