I have traveled the world for this question...


Which side of Angel do you like better...

Angel or Angelus???


Personally Angelus because he is way more exiting that the brooding Angel...:: vampire
 
I have to agree. I think Angelus is sooo much better, he comes out with much funnier comments than angel and although i like soppy people and gel is a little bit too soppy for me =D So yeah for me its Angelus all the way!
 
I think that Angelus is far the most interesting. He's an excellent bad guy, evil simply because he wants to be and can, for the most part, get away with it. I would love to see a face off between Angelus and ensouled Spike sometime.

While Angelus is undoubtedly a pleasure to watch for entertainment value alone I also find Angel equally fascinating. As a character he has more layers than a wedding cake and it is always interesting to explore a new side of him.

I'll take Angelus on Buffy, but Angel on Angel.
On Buffy it seemed like he was only there to be a love interest for Buffy half the time and I couldn't get into that, even when I LIKED Angel so it was always more entertaining to watch him be evil. Plus as everyone has already said, it's 10x funnier to listen to his mouth when he's a bad boy lol.

I don't find baddies thrilling.
I think having the sensitive, "I've lived forever" type of person would be rewarding.
NOT to mention Angels INCREDIBLE caringness and looks 😉
I LOVE the Brooding, it means, he has personality
 
I think David is a much better actor when he plays Angelus. Personally, I like dark, bad-ass characters. I like evil Willow, vengence Anya, disturbed Buffy, etc.
I love Angel, don't get me wrong. But I get sick of him. He's the same guy, day in and day out. Angelus makes things interesting.
 
I'm with Spuffyy, Angelus on Buffy but Angel on Angel 🙂 On Buffy Angel was just, meh, it was like ALL he was there for was to brood about Buffy or protect Buffy, there was hardly any depth to him besides the Buffy stuff, it bored me after a while. But he rocked Angelus, by far the most interesting work DB did on Buffy. On Angel, his charcter grew, developed better, became more complex, I appreciated that. Also he got to have more of a personality and even on occasion be funny... I came to love the Angel character on AtS.

agreed. i never liked angel until he got his own show and they could explore his character more.
I prefer Angel over the very psychotic Angelus, but I would not want to meet Angelus in a dark alley either.

Yeah, Angelus on Buffy but Angel on Angel. In AtS, he really developped. In Buffy Angel was just there, doing stuff. He only became interesting as Angelus.
 
I love both characters, on Buffy Angel was the best supporting character in my opinion, the dark good guy, i always like my good guys with a bit of a dark past instead of the squeaky clean ones, like Giles (i'd love to know more about his past). like everyones said, once he got his own show Angels character developed more and he became even more interesting, but i love Angelus on both shows, he's my favourite villain from either, he's brilliantly sadistic and just enjoys being evil. even though i always feel bad for Giles i cant help but admire what Angelus does with Jenny's body once he kills her, that and his mind games makes him better than all the big bads in the Buffyverse. after all, they only want to destroy the world while Angelus prefers to mess with his victims
 
I like Angelus in season two of Buffy...he makes for a lot of interesting scenes. (I also love Angelus in season four of Angel.) Angel's just kinda...dull, in the early episodes. He doesn't really transform into a truly interesting character until he gets his own show, IMO.
 
My hear will always belong to Angel but I have a couple thoughts on this matter. I loved Angelus because he was funny and actually had fun once in a while. He laughed which Angel almost never does. I love him bad, just like I like my men 🙂
 
Well, honestly,... I love both of them,... but if I had to choose I'd rather take Angelus! He's way more fun than Angel.
 
Definetly Angelus, most Angelus episodes were some of the best of all time
