My apologies to Sarah Michelle Gellar, but when she says Angel is stuck forever in her shadow, I tend to disagree with her.

So I thought I'd run this poll in the hopes at least a couple of people would agree with me when I say Angel casts it's own shadow, and in the course of time SMG will know this, because Buffy will be in it.

I can't honestly choose one of them. I love both shows equally for different reasons and I will miss both of them equally.

It all started with BtVS and without that there would never have been Angel so for that it probably just has the edge over Angel but only by a teeny weeny margin.

I guess for those who became Angel fans first and then watched Buffy to see what all the fuss was about it is understandable that Angel will be the one that they remember more vividly.

I have to agree with you though, that I don't think that SMG is right about Angel being forever in BtVs's shadow, it is a superb show in it's own right and alot of the show's fans have never even watched Buffy.

I voted for Angel, as I have had plenty of time to get used to Buffy finishing. In all honesty though, I would've liked to have seen them both continue until they had reached a natural "best by" date. Chin up though! Angel isn't finished yet. Perhaps you can fight City Hall...

It was truelly hard to choose, seeing as I absolutely love both the shows. In the end, I chose Buffy. Simply because it is my favourite out of the two. Though, I'd of loved to see them both continue.

I voted for angel, because even though I love Buffy a teeny bit more, Angel is truly the end. With Buffy, at least you could say, "hey, there's still Angel..."

I think all Sarah meant when she said that is not that Buffy is a better show, just that when you talk to people about Angel who don't watch either, they go, "isn't that the Buffy spinoff?"

Buffy, because it's directed more at young adults, while Angel's directed at adults.

I started watching Buffy from the first episode. After the fifth season, I stopped watching it religiously. I have watched Angel since the first episode. When it comes down to which show I'll miss more, it will have to be Angel. Granted Angel has had some bad plotlines, but overall I enjoy the show more than I ever did Buffy.

I watched both show since the beginning so it is hard to choose. I think I will miss Angel more.

I'll miss all three of Joss's shows. Buffy, Angel and Firefly. If Angel really is done after this season, we'll have to get our next new Joss Whedon fix in movie theatres in late 2005:Serenity. It'll be his feature film directing debut, and maybe, if things fall just right, it'll spin off a TV series!

Again, and maybe a evil network won't cancel it.

i agree with that. angel is pretty much based on buffy. by the way i voted for buffy. i like the earlier season though, only because angel was on there. i might of voted for angel but i haven't watched most of the shows. also i like how angel acted on buffy so much more. he was all mysterious then, on angel he just acts like some average guy. and he doesn't look all that well doing so.

I love them both to death, but I'm more attached to Buffy.
