Angel or Groo?

That one doesn't count to me since, technically, she was still in the hospital and it was only the PTB that were allowing her one last day with Angel before she died. I was SO sad at the end of that ep, when I realized Angel was hearing that Cordy had died without ever waking up.......I cried!

It counts to me because, even if that wasn't her real physical body, it was really Cordelia. I cried too.
 
I guess I wanted them to get together so badly, I was even more dissappointed than usual when it turned out to be a one shot deal and then she was gone. So now, even tho I love that epi, I still just think of it as "one of those things" and not real, you know? And I get sad every time, even tho I've seen it 4 or 5 times now.......
 
I didn't like Groo. I agree with the statement that he was creepy.

Angel. Angel and Cordy all the way.
 
Yuck. Not sweet. Creepy. And when Cordy and Angel were getting close and he appeared and said "Groo" and you could see the hurt in Angel's eyes - that seriously pissed me off.
 
Yeah but I think Angel and Buffy make the best couple he was her true love and she was his. I mean Cordy was happy to see him, and she liked him alot and he liked her, he took a chance on love. So he found her. Thats what makes it sweet. They had chemistry in Pylea and he took a chance on that it was romantic.
 
Yeah you have a point....I just didn't like Groo's personality very much. And I was just kidding earliier. 😉 I did think it was a *little* sweet.
 
Apart from the fact that I am a die-hard C/A shipper, I think Groo wasn't the right person for Cordelia:

Groo would have perfectly well fit with the old Cordelia ... a boyfriend that was devoted to her, even worshipped her, thought her flawless, acknowledge her for her beauty and could even see the warmth in her heart. But that would not be enough for the new Cordelia, the one that found her purpose in life, was very well capable of taking care of herself and needed to be challenged.

When she came back from her vacation it was obvious that there already were slightly annoyed by his overprotecting and naive behaviour. Groo would have needed to change a lot in order to keep Cordelia happy. She confessed to Angel that part of her motivation to become involved with Groo was that she felt tired of being alone. She knew the chances to actually meet someone who can stand the life she was living were very slim and she took it when it was presented to her.

But all in all I found Groo was kind of a surrogate Angel for her, a champion, who she did admire for his strength, his courage, his kindness and the goodness in his heart, all traits she praises in Angel as well. But since she never allowed herself to see Angel in a sexual way because of his curse, she re-directed her feelings towards Groo. But though he was sweet in a very naive, child-like kind of way he never came near to understand her like Angel did, who provided her with her purpose in life and cared for her without actually diminishing her abilities.

I think Groo was sweet but i did not see any chemistry coming from Cordy in their relationship, he was obviously smitten by her but i think Cordy's heart belonged to Angel and i think deep down inside she knew she could not be happy with anyone but.
 
I liked Groo, he was a fresh character, better suited to the Queen C's mood than brooding Angel.
 
I liked Groo, there wasn't much to him, but he was fun as the object of Angels frustration. But Groo and Cordy are a missmatch. He never understood her. Basically, Groo is too simple for Cordy.

I think Logan said it best when he said: " You're not real complicated, are you dick".
 
I liked Groo...he had his amusing points...but he was pretty two-dimensial as a character...Groo and Cordy had no chemistry in my opinion, they didn't go well together at all...
 
ANGEL!!!!! i love angel 100% he is sooo much better than groo plus come on David Boreanaz is a hottie with a naughty body 🙂 .

even tho i like Buffy/Angel alot better
 
excuse me but i think that angel would make a cute couple with buffy

Iam gonna agree with you willowfan4life angel isnt a hottie he is sexy to me.

Totally agree with the Doyle comment.....they would have been awesome! Not sure how I feel about Groo, but I didn't want Angel and Cordy together....it just never seemed right to me...
