Angel or Spike?

Oh gosh Angel all the way. Angel knew how to love. I do not think Spike did. Not just with Buffy but look at him with drusilla. I knw he cared for her, and buffy but I do not like the way he does it, at least not compared to Angel.... Plus angel is better looking haha

I loves me a bit of Both of them (see Avi for proof) but Spike is my #1 vampire. He is my favourite character ever. I love his journey, I love his growth, I love him. I love Angel too but, my god that boy learns slow!!

Well, I was gonna say it really depends on what mood I'm in....you know a little good, a little bad...:bite-cha:but after thinking about it for a minute I asked myself why have I listed Spike as my favorite character from the day I joined Buffy Boards? Maybe it was indesicive purely because I feel like I've done a lot of Bangel/Angel defending lately. But the truth is Spike is an amazing character. Yes, he has grown so much, he did get a soul on his own, he did help Buffy find the will to keep fighting...he's amazingly more complex then Angel. He chose to fight with Buffy on the good side even before he had a soul and also debatebly loved Buffy before then too. He's had some sort of relationship with almost every character on the show, more then Angel did. His character is so deeply layered and charismatic, he could have his own show too. Plus, he's a sexy bad ass with a British accent.

After rewatching Angel over like the last 2 months I have become to like Angel so much more than I fought I did, but he has nothing on Spike. He is sexier and funnier.

Well... I've never gone for what's good on paper. I find Angel delectable precisley for his imperfections, plus leather pants.

Although it's hard to decide for one of them, cuz they are both great, i voted for Spike. He was funnier than Angel, but Angel matched better with Buffy.

I voted Spike. I love Angel and his show but Spike is my all time favorite out of the shows. He embraced being a vampire but also had a sweet soft side, but maintained being bad boy in a way. So overall Spike and his sex appeal take the cake.

I never truly had a problem with Angel, myself. But, in my opinion, he was a much more complex character in "Angel" than in "BtVS". Thus I've only truly started to love the character once he got out of Sunnydale and out of Buffy's life.

I've said it here before and I repeat. Spike was a complex, much more interesting character from the get go. It didn't take him three seasons and god knows how many episodes for him to start growing as a character.

When he fell in love with Buffy, after it dawned on him the kind of man he needed to be to BE with her, he and he went and fought and got himself a soul. It wasn't a curse. It wasn't forced upon him. It was his choice. And he did out of love. The love he felt for her made him a better man.

So yeah, Spike, ftw.

I voted Angel. I do like Spike a lot, I think he's fun and hilarious. But Angel has his own show and he has a sexy square face.

I'm in no way suprised Spike is winning.

Despite Angel having his own show, I've often considered him to be the underdog in the fan world, partly because from a narrative perspective, Spike is perceived to be the underdog.

I've always got the impression from others that Spike is more accessible than Angel, prompting many fans to say "Well he's ok but a bit too broody".

For the most part I enjoyed the relationship between to two and their differences. I suppose I relate more to Angel, rather than Spike due to my introversion. Many of my thought lay beneath the surface and that's very Angel.

I also my humour is a lot more under the radar and actually comes from being somewhat undermined. Angel and I are the perfect straight men and sometimes that can be more hilarious than the 'funny guy' or at least works in perfect conjuncture with guy doing to mocking.

I'm not going to make a case for Angel unless I need to, but as with Riley, on occasion, I need to defend the fella.

I guess I assumed that Angel would take this one because the bangel fans seem to be strong on the Buffy Boards. Perhaps the bangels are just more vocal?
