Angel picked up by WB for the 5th Season

how does it suck? how is it disrespectful? this is an easy ploy to get good ratings on Angel....all networks do it....how do you think shitty shows like Still Standing (on CBS) get great ratings....its because of the 3 shows it followed.....if anything following Smallville is great for Angel....

Fearless looks to be a great show, and will star two former Buffy peeps, Bianca Laewson (Kendra), and Eric Balfour (Jesse) as well as Rachel Leigh Cook as Gaia.
 
Ok SPIKE BETTER NOT BE HUMAN!!!!!!!!!!! If the prophecy is corect (or if joss usses it now) Spike will become human and he would just be ded weight in Angel if hes human. Im sorry but it would suck. I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY ANGEL IS COMMING BACK!!!! I AM SOOOOO HAPPY SPIKE IS GOING TO BE THERE but NOT if he is a human.

i think its gonna be GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!...that SPIKE is joining......BUT even if he does turn human...its doesnt mean he cant still posess some powers....
 
How would that work? The whole point of being human is not having super powers...except for magick, but I'm fairly sure Spike doesn't weild any witchly powers....
 
Doesn't this kind of spoiler the end of Buffy now that we know Spike will be alive to be on Angel next season? 🙁

I guess, but it's obvious that Angel can stand on its own if it lasted up to 5 seasons so far. I guess that I'm just getting tired of Smallville. Anyhoo, no need for sarcasm I was just stating my opinion.😉 😉
 
But if it wasn't 100% certain that James would be on Angel next season then why would the WB have his name and picture plasted all over their site? I don't think they would do that unless James had signed a contract and it seems he has.
 
Didn't Joss say that there has been no talks with James to even see if he was going over there? He said that all this is strictly rumor. Plus, I really don't want Spike to go over there. I hope he dies soon...
 
I just don't see the WB plasting James all over their site unless he signed a contract. Think about it, makes sense. The WB wouldn't just say that James was going to be on Angel if they hadn't even talked to him. My guess it that Joss was talking out of his rear end.

Umh I dont mean to be the bearer of bad news and sound very negative but 'Angels' ratings have been very bad S3 and S4, the only logical thing to do in S5 would be to have a better lead-in to bring up the ratings cause if they dont I can almost tell for sure that we will not see a S6.

Low ratings = no sponsors
No sponsors = no money
no money = no show.

So personly I think it's good that Smallville gets to open the night as long as it brings in the viewers.
 
I never doubted that a 5th season would happen....😀 Not for a second...well...maybe for a second...but only one! LOL! Anyways, I think its great. I'm happy for JM and CC was never really one of my favorite characters on Angel. I loved her on Buffy but not really after the first 1 or 2 seasons of Angel. Plus, what was up with her hair? But what about
Spike being dead? Didn't he die during the season finale of Buffy? 'Cause it sure seemed that way...

Back on topic: I'm really looking forward to seeing all the guest appearances. BTW, did anybody else read an article somewhere that Alyson Hannigan might join the cast of Angel? I thought I read something like that but I'm not 100%. Does anybody know?
