The WB has given the green light to a full season of Angel, which has performed well on Wednesdays. According to Variety, the Frog network had an option to cut back to 13 episodes if the show tanked.

Good. I don't know what I'd do if there were only 13 episodes. Season 1 of Buffy was bad enough ... 🙂

Whew! Over joyed to hear THAT! I wasn't even aware they might do that! How scary! Kepp Angel on! Keep Angel on!

YAY full 22 episodes, but wow that was kinda close cause I dont want 13 episodes then have to wait for the wb to decided if they want the rest of the episodes or not.

Magui - I merged yours and slayerpower's thread on this subject together. Please remember to search to see if something has already been posted so there isn't a double of everything.

But anyway, score on the 22 eps!🙂

ANGEL (WB) - Network topper Jordan Levin confirmed to Daily Variety the WB will go forward with a full season of 22 episodes for the show's fifth season. The Frog previously had the option to trim its run from 22 episodes to 13 should it have faltered behind "Smallville" this season. Last night's episode saw "Angel" holding a solid 84% in households and 87% in adults 18-49 of "Smallville's" lead-in audience according to fast national data.
