What's it called?

"Deep Down."

Who do we deal with first "“ floaty Cordelia or floaty Angel?

Neither. The first scene of the fourth season is set on Oct. 28, 1985 at Thorpe's Academy in Gills Rock, Wisc. There we meet 7-year-old Gwen Raiden. We also meet Gwen's parents and Lydia Thorpe, who heads the Academy. We learn that Gwen has "¦ "special needs." Her own mother is afraid to touch her. Gwen, we'll learn before the teaser ends, has scary superpowers.

Do we meet Gwen again in the present day?

We do.

And she'd be about 24 by now, right?

You'd think. And yet "¦

But first we learn about Cordy. Or Angel. Right?

Actually we might first catch up with Winifred Burkle and Charles Gunn, who don't seem to scare the vampires the way they did when Angel was standing behind them. Gunn and Fred are questioning many a smug and menacing bloodsucker as they search for Marissa.

Who's Marissa?

Vampire girl. May know something about what happened to Angel. Angel's son Connor, of all people, leads Gunn and Fred into her crack-house lair. Connor is pretending to be worried about what happened to his pop. Marissa learns this. Marissa is not long for this world.

Is Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan still in Vegas?

He is, still working the Velvet Room. But he's also in the "Angel" season opener, where he gets an urgent phone call from Fred.

How long has Angel been missing?

All summer.

Does he spend most of 4.1 trapped deep underwater?

He's back on land before act three. Cables, we understand, pop loose from their moorings.

Let's get back to superpowered Gwen. What kind of superpowers does she have?

She's a lightning lass.

What's she up to in 2002?

She's a thief. In an auction house. Seeking out something called "The Axis."

Is Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo in this episode?

The Axis turns out to be an ancient mystical relic. And it's the only thing that can lead the gang to one Cordelia Chase.

Does Cordy appear in the season opener?

That would be telling.

Anything else?

Yeah. Don't be surprised if, at end of act two, Gwen kills one of last season's regulars.

Sounds very interesting to me and a good way to start things off. My opinion on who dies? Well it is either going to be Groosalugg, Gavin Park, or Justine, I don't see them killing Lilah, because she is an integral part to Wesley's storyline (which wasn't mentioned in this article). I highly doubt it would be Lorne because he is in Vegas and I doubt Gwen would be in Vegas when all the action is going on in LA. I would probably guess it is Gavin though.

I hope they kill justine...lol...i cant help it..i hate her for letting connor believe that angel killed holts when really she did it.Oh well...if they kill Gavin thats still good too though...

Thanks for the news!!!

Lost_Slayer I'd have to agree. My vote is for Justine too! But, alas, I must be practical. I'd have to say most likely it will be Gavin Park.

This is my first post - so 'HI!'.

I read somewhere that Gunn is gonna be killed. But I'm quite sure he won't stay dead, cos it also said that he'll be the one who frees Angel (in the 2nd episode, I think).

I dont know if its true, but that's what I read...

It's a hard choice between those two. Justine seems doomed to be the self-made tragedy queen, but Gavin Park is still a bit wishy-washy by W&H standards, and killing him would be a good opportunity to bring Lilah more into the forefront.

I think though, in order for Lilah's full potential to be realized, they need someone in W & H who pushes her to be quicker on the uptake, faster in her thought process, etc. I think that's the main reason they brought in Gavin Park; if you take him away, what reason (besides the obvious one of trying to get rid of Angel) does Lilah have for trying to be so persistent in her efforts to thwart Angel?

More pressure fom the partners above, maybe, now that she can't blame any SNAFU's in her department on anyone else? Just a guess...

Hmm. Along the 'who's going to die' lines, I hate to suggest it but what about...Groo? Is he even still around at all? Imagine: He just decided to hang out in this dimension for awhile, and ended up dying...what better way to get Cordy down from a higher level, besides? (not liking this idea, just tossing it out there).

Though it'd definitely make me happy if they got rid of Lilah. She irritates me. lol 😛 Even if she is good for plot.

For all we know, Groo is still around in LA, nursing his broken heart. Maybe he could die trying to defend Cordy some way, "higher being" or not.

If someone from Wolfram & Hart gets killed, I think Lilah's the least likely candidate (unless they have Wes do it in a fit of rage🙂). Gavin Park or even Holland would be more convenient choices.

Of course, the underlying question in all of this is, will whoever dies *stay* dead?

Ooh i wana join lol

im actually a fan also of the 'ill Groo and see what Cordy does' persuasion
i mean she tends to aonly react well when the people she loves are in mortal danger
plus the white glowy thing is cool and id like to see it again as she heals him porw ahtever

Holland is already dead.. Dru and Darla killed him in the basement of his home.. the episode where Angel locks them in, when he became "dark".. he reappeared as a ghost of sorts when Angel realised that the "home office" was basically the world in general.

My guess?.. really hoping its Justine, but this "someone dies" thing is probably a red herring, Joss just loves to fling them around 😀

Sorry, I can never remember the new W&H partner's name (Gavin & Lilah's immediate boss).

Justine seems the most popular candidate so far for being killed off, and she is getting to the point where she's either got to meet a tragic end or become a more significant character.

But I too am skeptical about what "someone dies" *really* means.

Now i did read on one of those spoiler sites that "Cordelia dies fighting Connor".. which, to be truthful, i tend to take with a little pinch of salt.. but its an interesting thought.. and please can Cordy lose that icky short blonde style, it does absolutely nothing for her! ::nono::
