Angel Season 3

So I am re-watching season 3 now, and I love Angel with all my heart. But it seems to me that he is grunting/breathing heavily a lot from episode 2 to 10.
Anyone else notice this?

Angel's breathing in this season (like during Amends, and the episodes where he was poisoned) has always pissed me off. I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but his little quivering/whimpering breath thing, agh, it irks me.

Omgosh, the heavy breathing was so annoying! I wanted to smash my TV watching those scenes, lol.
So unnecessary.
