If Angel was renewed for two more seasons and reached the seven-year limit Buffy did, how do you see the rest of the show unfolding?

You could use the After Fall comics as a basis or use your own imagination.
 
It's hard to say, I think Season 5 of Angel was written by Joss very much with the plan that it was the final season.

Anyway, I would have wanted something that heavily involved the Shansu Prophecy.

Not true, they didn't find out until halfway through the season that they would not be renewed. That's why the ending feels so rushed, a lot of that stuff wasn't supposed to happen until season 6.

Well what I meant was that Joss may have been fully aware that the show was on borrowed time, not that he wanted to finish the show with Season 5.
 
I don't think Wesley would of been killed off if we got a S6, and that would of then led to Willow coming and somehow separating/bringing back Fred from Illyria and we would of seen a little bit of happiness between them, but for how long ... not long if Joss had anything to do with it.
 
I think Willow and Andrew both would have crossed over to Angel for a little while and Willow successfully separating Fred from Illyria.

Wesley would still be alive.

Lorne still would have killed Lindsey, I would have liked to watched the aftermath of Lorne's actions. That would have been a good storyline for him.
 
If there had been a season 6 of Angel, wasn't there talk of it being post-apocalyptic and Illyria retaining more Fred's entatity inside her? Thats what I read somewhere and I think it was here on the forum. I think if it had happened it would have made a great season.
 
I read the "After the Fall" novel and I think that would make a great Season 6

Some changes:
Like everyone is saying, Willow would separate Fred and Illyria but the Tomb that she was locked in was destroyed/lost and Willow must find another vessel to put Illyria (living or a totem/artifact)

Lorne would still kill Lindsey and he becomes an alcoholic, clouding his aurora reading. He becomes violent towards anyone who talks to him about his drinking, More violent towards Angel but Angel doesn't give up trying to help him

Wesley is still dead, hes still contract bound to Wolfram & Hart and is secretly trying to find a way out of his contract to be at peace, finds nothing until Illyria tells him of a way

Gunn is a Vampire, He still wants to be a hero so he ventures out of L.A in search for a powerful Sorcerer he read about in a book who can give him a soul

Angel seeks out The Senior Partners to try to send Hell back below with the help of his Dragon who can talk! hahaha (just thought Id put it out there)
 
I wouldn't use the comics for a couple reasons. The first is that it would either have way too big of a production cost to have Hell L.A. and the second because there was so much more about running W&H they could've explored.

Since Joss only killed Wesley because the show was ending and Alexis thought it'd be a fitting sendoff, I think Wes would've still been alive and we couldn't have had that (in my opinion) lame excuse of the perpetuity clause in order to still have him in the show. I believe Wes would've come to terms with Fred being gone and would've showed Illyria how good the world could be, perhaps making her care about doing good for humanity in the process.

I may differ from some other posters in that I wouldn't want Fred to be brought back as, even though I loved her character, destroying her spirit entirely was one of the most powerful and gripping moments of the series and I would hate to see that diminished by just having her brought back. There were just so many interesting things they could do with Illyria as well.

I think Gunn would've eventually been corrupted entirely at some point and would've fought Angel in order to keep his newfound life. I might be wrong but I believe cast members talked about Gunn becoming a vamp and being the big bad in season 6. Whether he be redeemed in the end or killed I'm not sure which'd be better tv; perhaps him sacrificing himself to help Angel in a season finale would've been a good and powerful exit.

Whatever direction they went, I really wished they got at least one more season as there was still so much left to tell.
 
I Wish They Had A Season 6 & 7 (I'm Not Sure About The Comics, I Haven't Read The Angel Comics)
