Question Angel Siring Buffy

I am thinking specifically in "Graduation Day". I was pondering this the other day and haven't seen it discussed anywhere else, though I have a hard time believing it's never come up!

So, let's say that when Angel was curing himself with Buffy's blood, she had a "Screw it" moment and bit him and vamped out. (I am presuming Angel would be too in the moment to notice/prevent this.) What would happen then?

Buffy would be a slayer vampire without a soul.

Angel would be a vampire WITH a soul.

Would Angel still love her? Would Buffy kill him? Would Angel kill himself for letting it happen? Would her slayerness overpower her evilness? How awkward would that be when she rose??

I don't really have an answer, just a pondering of "What if?"

To me this is pretty much the last thing either one of them would ever want, but going with the theory I think he would have done one of two things: either stake her immediately upon her rising because, and I can't stress this enough, Vamp!Buffy is the absolute last thing either of them would want, OR he would have secured her so she wasn't a danger to anyone and had Willow restore her soul before she could do anything that would hurt anyone and haunt her.

Wow, what an idea! I agree with you that I don't think Angel would've been able to stop Buffy in that moment if she had decided to do it. I do not think Angel would've immediately staked her. He would have tried in every way possible to re-ensoul her (Willow did it before, I'm assuming that's the route they would go). But could Angel keep her captive until Willow could do it? That's doubtful for me, he's already stated that she was stronger than him. I can imagine how torturous that would be for both of them. I think Angel would still love her; Buffy didn't stop loving Angel when he lost his soul, and I think a part of Angelus still loved her as well (and was disgusted with himself for it).
