Angel Sixth Season Is In Negotiation With NBC
From Buffy.nu - From N.B.C. Broadcasting - 2004-05-11th


We've just received an email from an important person in NBC, we hope the negotiations will be successful. We already know that the final meeting with angel writers and producers has been set up in a few weeks (we got the date), so you have time to show your support to these negociations by replying to this article ! The reliability of the source has been checked. Like you we fear a sophisticated fake, but we prefer to show our appreciation to Angel than to be cynical about this news. If there is a hope for angel, we want to share it with you.


From an inside source at NBC :

"It has come to our attention that there has been a vast public interest to see a return of this series. A forthcoming series is in negotiation, and NBC will go ahead with a sixth season if the public response is strong enough."

We ask for help from all Buffy/Angel/Firefly websites and all the Whedon Fandom, NBC will check the feedback on this page, so show your angel love here !

As much as I would like it to be true im gonna have to call fake. First of all NBC is one of the top US networks so a show with 4 million viewers is cut material *unless its a 1 am show*. NBC doesnt do shows like angel. There shows are more "reality" based *frasier, west wing etc.". Dont get your hopes up to much however praying its true couldnt hurt 🙂

Yeah, that's true... but at least we have SOME hope, just don't get your hopes too high becuase if it's a fake than yeah...
 
Yeah, but that would bew awesome if it was true! NBC has almost all of my favorite shows (and others I enjoy watching)!
 
But NBC has lost a hell of a lot of shows this year. Who knows, but seems a bit late. If it does return I dont think it could make the new series time (whenever that is in America, september is it?) because it'll just be really sudden. Then again I could be talking a load of rubbish.

I really hope this is true. It would really make the rest of my year. And a lot of time after that.
 
That's stupid. Why would NBC pick up Angel? There is no way that is true. People are too trusting of non-confirmed sources.

JM's hair is apparently growing back quickly, according to what he said on FCUK radio.
 
I am gonna hope for the best and look for the worst thats what i say NBC will be lucky if they pick up angel seeing as we have like raised thousands of dollars and they should know that they'll have alot of people who watch it 🙂 i know i would i'd be right there in front of the t.v screen droolin on the screen 🙂 grr i hope they do
 
It would seem weird for NBC to pick up Angel, but they have lost alot of shows, good shows at that. Also, NBC has always been one for noticing ratings, & they LOVE & crave ratings, so they have to know that the ratings with Angel have gone way up, especially through this last season. Through each season of Angel, the ratings have always gone up more than the last, so maybe( tiny maybe) NBC is really going to pick up Angel, but it's doubtful......We can always have hope,right?

Normally, yes September is when new seasons on t.v. appear, but there's been times when some appear in October, November, sometimes even December.
 
How much I want to believe it. I can't. I hope it true but I started to give up in April. Sorry.
 
I just hope this is true and not fake, Angel S6 deserves to hit screens.
 
Wow... my hopes have been crushed so many times that they look like pancakes. STILL I HAVE HOPE! I'm just that optimistic a pessimist when it come to the Buffyverse! Don't get me wrong, I think this rumor is bogus, but I think that something will happen!
 
I heard rumors of another spin-off when Buffy wrapped up. I'm hoping Joss makes a new Buffy/Angel based series if Angel does not in fact get picked up by NBC.

I've definantly got hope.🙂
 
what about the angel 2 hour movie things that i've heard so much about, have read here and there. anything new on that end?
i'd even be satisfied with that, and apparently it would be on the WB, but i haven't heard anything about it in the past couple weeks
