I just noticed at TFAW that preorders are available for Issue 1 of Season 10 of "Buffy" and in the subscription list, "Angel" is listed, rather than "Angel & Faith." Does that mean that Faith won't have any regular story line anywhere anymore? I'd heard that she might be coming back to the U S with Giles, but I couldn't find anything listed that included either Giles' or Faith's name in the title anywhere, though Spike was offered as a subscription.

Their probably stick Faith back in Buffy's book where she'll receive as much development as any other supporting character there. I'd rather she get her own book instead. She's a strong character and deserves better than playing second fiddle to Buffy. She more than held her own against Angel on A&F. Then again, the A&F writers are doing Buffy season 10 so maybe her appearing there would be a good thing. Who knows?

Since they have no problem resurrecting characters to serve Buffy's story, allow Angel the same courtesy. Bring back Wesley and Cordelia (its a comic book, and clearly the writers gave up on any semblance of realism a long time ago). Although knowing the way Joss/Dark Horse do things, they'd be brought back and put in Buffy's book as if AtS never happened while Angel wallows alone.

Have the book titled Angel like the show and have Wes, Cordy, Gunn, Connor, Illyria, and maybe Faith as supporting characters.

Sure people can say that bringing back Wes and Cordy would cheapen their deaths on the show, but as I consider the comics a different beast than the show (in my mind they all died in NFA) I don't really care.

I agree, Faith is definitely a strong enough character to carry her own title, and maybe that's what they have planned, but just don't have it set up yet. Then again, putting Faith in Buffy's book could be a real boost for their relationship, since you can't have the two main characters snarling and spitting at each other for 24 issues. They could finally become the friends that Ialways hoped that they would be. That would probably push Spike out, which I'm sure more than a few readers would cheer about, but I think that he, also, is perfectly capable to carrying his own title.

I still think, though, that the season grand finale should consist of a grand crossover, bridging through all of the assorted titles, bringing everybody together for one colossal "Avengers Assemble" type ending. Just the idea of everyone sitting down after the battle, just to let everyone catch up with what everyone else has been doing, like the Avengers in the sandwich shop would be great,

Can Faith just get a life already? There's no reason for her to be anywhere near Buffy, who hates her guts by the way, or Angel. I don't understand what is this character still doing in this franchise, what purpose does she serve story-wise? She's not a core character, she's not even in the opening credits on either of the shows, just why? Faith's a waste of page space. And Giles. Can he just go away already? This nonsense has been going on for 5 seasons now, Giles wants to leave, Giles stays, Giles leaves, Giles comes back, Giles leaves, Giles comes back, Giles leaves, Giles comes back, Giles leaves, Giles pops up again, Giles dies, Giles comes back. For crying out loud.

As to Angel brooding alone, well, I can't think of many characters that would like to hang out with Angel after season 8. Basically, Angel's done and no amount of obnoxious whitewashing and nonsensical retroactive continuity will ever change that.

In my opinion Faith doesn't have enough depth to lead her own book. You can't do anything about it either. Give Faith some sidekicks, a love interest, a meaningful personal arc and...oh it's not Faith anymore.

I'd be ok with them having a team-up at the end and than going back to do separate stories. Buffy can't even find time for her own characters, I'd hate to see what they do with Angel and his cast if they were all permanently under one title. Probably never-ending love triangle bs with Buffy, Angel, and Spike.

Angel is such a strong character on his own and deserves more than being second fiddle to Buffy again, They'd just write him out of character to service her story again a la Twilight.

EVIL UU Faith has more depth now than Buffy. Buffy hasn't had any depth since the live-action series, and even then it wasn't much the last couple of seasons.

According to everybody I talked to at NYCC 2013 it is still A&F for season 10, but it is more of a Angel, and, Faith than Angel and Faith.

Look at SA interview :

and the cover for A&F #1 S10. I have no idea how to make the image show here on BB, so just use the link.

It is more or less Angel crushing down evil little buggers who try to sting him en masse, in all his lonesome, and Faith in a different perspective and at the different location.

Now, I am not big fan of Faith's and would have preferred her either in her own title, (which, btw I agree, she could not carry) or as a supporting character in Angel, not a co-lead, if only because I love AtS original logo (with wings) and find DH new logo utterly bland and uninteresting. But nope, trying to promote Faith to a lead or at least semi-lead in the comics was Joss doing and DH are not backing away from it.

There are supposed to be a lot of crossings back and forth between A&F and Buffy in S10, and at least one person from DH team ( Rebekah Issacs) promised me Angel will show up in Buffy title at some point. I don't expect him to stay there because DH needs to sell comics and he is a titular character so , meh, Gischler will have him crushing evil fairies/sticking it in for Pearl etc in no time again. Which, honestly, I have no interest in, but heh.

And, no, I don't find Faith specifically growing any 'depth' to her character. She is still her shallow little self, just fighting on the side of good now.
