Maybe this is just my own insane mind ramblings (or the fact that I haven't had much sleep lately).

But do you think there could be a closer connection between Angel and Spike than we'd ever thought possible? And I'm NOT thinking about a LOVE Connection here.

Okay, here I go rambling.

Spike was the most notoriously vicious Vamp in history - second only to Angel.

From what we know, they pretty much shared the same vamp women - Dru for sure, possibly even Darla.

We know Spike's killed two slayers. I wouldn't doubt for a moment that Angel has killed one as well.

Both Angel and Spike were/are in love with a slayer - Buffy.

Both Angel and Spike have souls.

Both Angel and Spike have helped to save the world. A few times.

Both Angel and Spike have sacrificed themselves for those more innocent.

Angel's human name is Liam. Which CAN be short for William (i.e. Liam Neeson).
Spike's human name is William.

Okay, so they are as different as night and day.

One's dark - the other is "radioactive"

One prefers quiet solitude - the other craves excitement and large groups

One's moody - the other is at times quite gregarious

Okay, but what if they really are the two opposite sides of the SAME coin?

And, what if The Shanshu Prophecy is real.

What if the "vampire" with a soul fulfills the prophecy and becomes human.
Or should I say what if BOTH of the vampires fulfill the prophecy TOGETHER and become ONE HUMAN.

Wow. I so need a nap now.
 
become one human?...don't think so.there's the possibility of both of them becoming human,but ya know two human boys.

i always think about tehy have a lot in common,and i really hope they both sanshu some day
 
Or there's the possibilty of the prophecy not even being about Angel; Maybe Spike will fulfil the prophecy and become human?

I doubt it, but seen as you brought up the question....

As Angel said, prophecies can't be trusted. The prophecy said that the vampire with a soul will become human. Spike's not a vampire. When they die though, they're both going to Hell. That's another similarity.
 
i can't decide who i like more cos if one gets the shanshu then the other won't and if one gets buffy then the other won't so either way, i'll be gutted.

anyone else feel the same?
 
Just because of Buffy, I think Angel should shanshu. But the idea of them turning into one man, well that's an interesting idea. It would mean they both would get the woman they wanted. Perhaps then they have always been one person living in two bodies, would be a wild idea, and certainly seems interesting, as Joss could assure that he doesn't really let down either Spike or Angel fans.

LOL!!

Okay, here's a bit more to add after watching Lineage.

Both Liam and William appear to have come from single parent households. Liam had his father, William with his mother. Both killed they're parent after becoming a vampire.

Angel had his Will removed. I know this is probably a stretch, but William without the Wil is Liam.

Okay, so it is a stretch. It's still my theory and I'm sticking to it.
