ok. When Buffy died in s1, another slayer was born. I think this is the reason why she seems week.Buffy. The two slayers, Buffy and Kendra at the time had to share the power of 1 slayer. So I think she would of been stronger if she didnt die. Just a thought. Besides, Buffy began to beat Caleb out of anger!
That is what boosts her strength.

oh yeah, Angel hasnt killed a slayer. It says so on the show. And tasting the blood of a Slayer doesnt make you strong. If it did then Spike and Angel both would be Superior to Buffy and Faith

Great point, I and others have often thought that about the sharing of the power. But the newly awakened potentials seem as strong as Buffy and Faith.

Yes. But I think thier power lie in Buffy and Faith. After they got boosted and Buffy got stabbed, they all began to lose. Just as Faith was being jumped, at the same time Buffy got stabbed.

Thats also a popular theory, that even though the line runs through Faith, but is still the source of the power or that the power runs through Buffy.

But that doesn't explain if Faith was lacking power during the 3 months that Buffy was gone. Now its time for me to babble on and tell my theory:

Buffy was the slayer from sometime in 1996 'til May of 1997. After her death in the Master's Lair, this activated Kendra, making Buffy not the slayer but a Slayer. This is where the First Evil begins to notice the mystical forces surronding the slayer line being overwhelmed. This could have possibly let the First Evil finally see the Slayer since the mystical forces aren't completely working, this would also make sense since we've never heard of the First going after another Slayer (because I mean after thousands of years, wouldn't the First want to target the leader in the fight for good). But Buffy wasn't truely dead, just enough physically to activate the next slayer, but not enough for the First Evil to take her form (this makes sense bc the First probaly would have wanted to appear to Angel in Amends, saying stuff in the guise of Buffy like "Take Me" or "Drink Me", but doesnt! Unless I'm remembering incorrectly and the First Evil does take Buffy's form in Amends, and if it does then I'm feeling stupid bc I can't remember now!).

Then to Becoming Part 1, the activation of Faith. Everything stays the same, 2 slayers when theres only supposed to be one. But never during the course from Prophecy Girl 'til Chosen do we hear Buffy talk about a loss in her strength. Then we fast forward to the Gift. Buffy jumps into the portal and shes gone. No more 2 slayers, only 1. Everything is right. But Willow does the Willow thing and brings her back. It should seem like Buffy would still have her powers but when she came back what if she didn't have her powers and since her body was so used to having the power of the Slayer she was recalled and then re-inserted into the slayer line?

Now you could have 2 slayers that could call another slayer. The mystical forces are even more out of whack now! So the First can now see and attack potentials because theres too much distribution of the slayer power. Then we goto the end of Season 6, when Buffy is shot by Warren and we see that Buffy flatlines, so she is physically dead? This could have activated another slayer that we don't even know about! If you read the original/alternate script to the Chosen finale, Dawn was supposedly activated by this event or the one in the Gift (never fully explained) but she never received her power. This is odd because we've never heard of this slayer if she did exist, but we never heard of Kendra or Faith 'til they showed up!

Now the biggest change of all: the activation of potentials all over the world using the essence of the scythe. If 2 slayers made the slayerline weak, then wouldn't 200 make it even more vulnerable. Some have stated that they think that the First Evil wanted Buffy to do this, so it could become corporeal. Going back to the original/alternate script, the First Evil does become corporeal and fights Buffy but then disappears. So could the First Evil have become corporeal from the activation of the potentials? Well we really don't know that or any of what I've stated, but its just a theory🙂

On the other hand, I think Angel could probably take Buffy. Slayer equals nothing. They all have their downfall. Just like when Buffy got stabbed with a stake by a simple vampire........

BUffy could whip Angels butt into shape....she beat Angelus(she was just about to chop off his head before the whole soul came back rushing to him). And come on, if Buffy can beat a god she can beat a vampire. And if she can beat Faith then she can deffinatly beat Angel.

Even if it was Angel and team agianst Buffy and team, Buffy and team would probably still win.

Wolferman Hart would do what exactly? start an apocoplyse, or send their demons after them, while Willow could take them on with her magic. Just imagine a whole army of well trained slayers to back you up...

Um, why does everyone keep using the potential turned Slayers? Most of the ones she knew died except a few. And yes there are Slayers evertwhere but that doesnt mean they'll help her ....Willow is strong, yes, but if Leery gets hold of her shes gone.

Buffy would kick him up and down the town. She beat him once (her only, and I do mean ONLY difficulty was that she loved him and kept staying a killing blow, allowing Angelus to almost get the upperhand a few times), she had the sythe, proceeded to kick the ever holy loving crap out of Caleb (who did jigs on her unconcious body before). Yep, Buffy. Angel may not be your average vamp, but he is still only a vamp. Even Spike admits he couldn't do it, over and over, and he is the scrapper of the two (Spike and Angel). Remember, Angelus was a serial killer and monster, Angel had a reason to fight with all his heart.

Actually Buffy & Co. have found alot more potentials which can be seen as Andrew had his own little of army of slayers, on Angel. And we also know that Buffy is the leader of the this group, maybe a new council? Since Fray tells us that there were more watchers.

Whos Leery? Is he someone from Angel, because I haven't seen every ep of that!

Buffy would definitely win because Slayers kick butt! ::dance:: ::rolf:: 😉

What OrignalSlayer said, they have found and trained atleast 50 new potentials by Damage. And Andrew had around 20 with him, and by now they probably have a little over 100 potentials that they train.

In fact, here's an interesting little quote from Damage:

ANDREW
Yes, attractive, slender woman.
(Fred rolls her eyes)
There are many potentials, as we experts call them.

WESLEY
Hundreds...maybe thousands per generation.

Here's another one from Chosen

WILLOW
We changed the world. I can feel
them, Buffy. All over. There are
Slayers awakening everywhere.

Translation - Willow is connected to the potentials. It's not a great leap in logic to assume she can find them.

OK now let's go back to Damage, where Andrew is still explaining...

WESLEY
An army of slayers. Brilliant stratagem. But with the watchers council destroyed, how will these new slayers receive their necessary"”

ANDREW
Mr. Giles and a few key Sunnydale alum have been tracking down the recently chosen...
(reaches down to grab his brow-bag lunch; it's labeled with the British "Union Jack" flag and written under it is "ANDREW WC")
uh, guiding them, training them...
(takes a Zip-Loc baggie of goldfish crackers out of the bag and starts to eat them)
giving them the full X-Men, minus the crappy third act.

So...You have what Wesley calls an army of possibly thousands of slayers, with a method of locating them, and the new formation of a network to train them, plus the White Witch, at least one powerul coven, and what's left of the Watcher's resources and connections, not to mention Buffy, "Stopper of Apocali extrordinaire". Then there's possible wildcard alliances like this "Immortal" twit, and The Initiative.

If I was Angel, even with the full resources of Wolfram & Hart, I'd think twice about messing with all that.

Its weird to think what they have done post-Buffy.

They probaly organize the potentials turned slayers and send them onto large groups of vampires!

If there ever was a Buffy movie, I think it would be about the events that are described in Fray, slayer with mystical allies banishing demons and vampires from the dimension, but would it be Buffy?

I think it would!

I pretty much agree with you Original Slayer so I hate to keep correcting tiny mistakes, but they could turn out to be kind of important.

It isn't "demons and vampires" the last slayer banishes in Fray. It's "demons and magiks".

In the origin myth described in Fray, the Vampires are described as a disease. The impression I get is they're neither demon or man, more man infected with the disease of demonism. The Vampires appear to live on after the last slayer stops the final apocalypse. In Fray's time they're called Lurks.

Urkon - Fray's demon Watcher (kind of) is pretty clear about what happens after the time of the last slayer. Girls get the power, but they are never called. Fray doesn't even know what a vampire is until Urkon explains about them. She thinks of Lurks as being more like homeless people living in the shadows. She knows about them, but not what they do. She ignores them.

None of this says anything about whether Buffy is tougher than Angel of course, but I just want to set the record straight.

Well interesting question,a few theories
a) Angelus and Angel will be totally different to face.If its Angelus he may win,no chance for Angel. Then again Angelus/Buffy fight happened in Becoming and Buffy won.
b) Buffy will win.Cause its the last won, they cant have her play a powerful slayer only to have her lose in the End.And I heard somewhere that good guys always win!
