I wanna consider what might happen yet if Angel put together a little army of all possible allies to meet him in the Hyperion alley. I'm trying to put a list together for my personal fun. Help me, OK? Who else might be in that alley?

Connor went home. I don't think Buffy, the scoobs, and the potentials would apply, because they'd already rejected Angel. Faith would be there though. No doubt. Buffy would say, "You can't go". And Faith would reply, "Get stuffed. He's my bud".

Anyway here's my list so far.

Faith
Gwen the electric girl
Bethany: Psycho Kinetic power girl
David Nabbit: Money Man. More precisely - his resources (What if David Nabbit built the cyborgs)
Gunn's crew
Lorne's warrior cousin
Groo
Kate Lockley
Phantom Dennis
Drogyn (I just can't believe Angel would really kill him. Must have been a trick. 😀 )

Didn't Gunn's crew abandon him because Gunn had sort of "moved on". Wasn't it discussed in one of the later eps of S2, around when Wes got shot? Similarly don't Lorne's whole race hate him becasue yeah he left but then came back, said "stuff this race" and went again? I'd imagine that would cause tension, or even the Dance of Shame. Can Phantom Dennis leave Cordy's apartment? (sorry I seem to be picking holes)

Hmm trying to think of more people. Amusing though, Lilah. Okay shes dead, lets move past that and think how funny it would be. If people could come back from the dead Cordy obviously, unless she could still do some whamy from up there like in the Las Vegas ep. Can't think of many more people, unless some of the hundreds of people he has saved in the past are willing to fight back.

Gunn is still speaking fondly of members of his crew with Anne in Not Fade Away.

Lorne's warrior cousin is Landok or Landokmar of the Deathwok Clan. He's not a big fan of Lorne's, but he has lots of respect for Angel and loves to fight.

Phantom Dennis...yeah well, OK, not much help there. I just miss him. 🙂

Hmmm, interesting thread, here's who I think would join in.

Angel
Spike
Illyaria
Gunn
Gwen
Groo
Faith
Wood (follows Faith)
Handful of slayers that Faith gathers ( Dana included)
Andrew (Spike loyalty)
Kate Lockley
David Nabbit
Lorne's Cousin (although he is ashamed of Lorne, he respects Angel)
Fred's parents (Hey, they held their own pretty well in Fredless)
Bethany
Justine (Trying to redeem herself)
Anne (Won't be much use, but she is very much into fighting for the greater good)
Oz (I can see Angel giving him a call if he could find his where abouts, plus, you have to figure that they must've been in contact at least a little bit after Nina was turned)
Not all of Gunn's crew, but maybe two or three of them

Well, that's all I can think of right now. Even with that army I don't see them winning.

Yeah. We've gotta find more backup. 🙂

I'd like to make a case for David Nabbit being behind the cyborgs from Lineage.

He's got the resources. He's into all that high tech computer stuff. He likes Angel so he might try to abduct Angel from Wolfram & Hart to save him from himself. He wants to be a hero.

Hey, it's possible, and a cyborg army would come in handy.

Also, I don't think we can underestimate Gwen and Bethany. If they were to cut loose they could do a lot of damage.

Oh, and if Nina and Oz turn up on a night of the full moon it could get interesting.

Well, I know that most of the Scoobs won't help out, but Willow has been involved in some Fang Gang activity in the past. And you gotta figure that if Angel were to somehow go over Gile's head and get ahold of Willow (maybe through Andrew, who would end up budging) that there is a 50/50 percent chance that she would show up in the alley, just to fight on the right side. With her, Kennedy would probably come along as well. In fact, the only Scoobs who would not show up to fight the good fight would be Giles, Xander and Buffy. Giles has no concern for Angel's problems and seems to have become very stuffy, Xander doesn't like Spike OR Angel and I think Buffy let's Angel deal with his own fight. As well the watcher's council, led by Giles and Buffy, don't trust Angel anymore. But I'd almost suspect Willow would show up, plus gives Angel a pretty big gun.

You also have to note that Angel does have several allies and enemies over his two hundred years, some demons, some vampires, some good, some bad. Between him and Spike, they could probably gather a handful of those guys, convincing them with money or decepting them into helping out just this once. Here's a quirky thought on that, what if both Spike and Angel were to somehow get Drusilla to fight on their side? Very unlikely, but she's also insane and has a certain loyalty to both men, now that they both fight on the side of good, she might side with them for once. Come on, Angel friggin sired her and I haven't heard anything of recent whereabouts, so she probably isn't clinging on to another vamp.

And here's another thing, Illyria has followers spread throughout the earth. If they worship her, she could defintely have them follow her to their deaths. Kind of grim, but it helps build an army. I also wouldn't count out Connor, I'm betting that he would show up anyways. Also Harmony is shallow and fickle and it wouldn't be too hard for Angel to get her back on their side after she betrayed them and even if she betrayed them again, he would be well aware that that might happen, plus she's not much of a threat to them.

I actually considered those possibillities and rejected them. Here was my reasoning.

Willow - If she wouldn't come to save Fred, would she come to help Angel? Too bad though, cause if Willow was there, game over for the SPs. :babe: :jawdrop:

Drusilla - If she came it would be for Spike. Would she come for Angel? This would have to be Angel's plan. It's clear that the others have come to the alley to fight an impossible battle and face certain death. Any one of them might be setting something up, but they're not all in on it. Angel would be the one that can drum up the most support, so seems like the best choice.

Connor - Angel wouldn't want him there. He didn't even want him to help with Hamilton. He wants to keep him safe. He wouldn't tell Connor where the final battle was.

Harmony - Yeah she might come, but would Angel want her there?

Too bad the 5 brothers are dead.

Here's a long shot. What about the initiative? In Why We Fight we saw Angel has connections with them. Wouldn't Riley Finn be about the last face you'd expect to see at a battle to save Angel.

I was under the assumption that he couldn't get ahold of Willow, because Gile's got in the way and Willow never got the message. But I only saw the episode once before. And as it goes for Harmony, Angel wouldn't want her there, but I believe would gladly let her join in and easily take her out if she turned on her again. Like I said, Harmony is not a threat and can easily be swayed to the side of good until the other side gives her a good reason (in her mind) to turn. Seeing that there wasn't much time in between I think it would be likely that she would stick around and fight and then flee when it was convenient enough.

Can't see Riley and the Intiative cooperating with two vampires and an old one.

Can't think of any more right now...But

I don't think you can and Drusilla. Cuz in less I missed a pretty big Ep. Dru is dead. Spike Stacked her..
Also You were saying Kate Lockley When Was the last time we saw her. I Not to sure if she would. Help. But She's really more Maybe cuz then I think she will.Riley and the Initiative would be cool though.

Yeah Willow didn't come to help Fred because she was on a different plane at the time. Im guessing she didn't get the message either because Giles didn't want her to know or Kennedy is jealous of Willow's love for Fred (c'mon people, you know its true!)

See I was always going to write a fanfic (and again never got round to it) where Willow breaks up with Kennedy for the above reason.

Spike didn't stake Dru. Last we saw her (in this time period anyway) was in Crush and Spike held a stake to her heart to prove to Buffy he loved her, but she was like "pff, whatever"

I just thought of another one. You know those three floaty sisters that always go "Mmm Angel"? I wonder what kind of damage they could do if you ever pissed them off.

yeah Willow would come if they called and got ahold of her. I always assumed that she didnt end up coming to LA because by the time the message got to her she already sensed that Fred was no more so she didnt want to go and face all the sadness.

But i thinke Angels 3 MMMMMM girls could pack a nice punch, they were able to put up a anti-demon violence at Lornes Bar so they must have some other things to spread around.

I think Willow would definitely come. She would want to stop the Senior Partners, even if Buffy said not to go. But about Buffy, I think she would go, as well. Just like Willow, she'd want to stop the Senior Partners. Giles would have to know how bad they are and if he thought Angel and gang would have a chance at beating them w/ the help of the scoobies, he's send them. I also think that with all the people that Angel, Spike, Illyria, and the others have met over the years, they'd be able to find plenty of people willing to help, such as, Gwen and Bethany. Another resource could be Cordy and the Power That Be. Cordy would definitely try her hardest to help and she could probably convince one or two of the PTB's to help, too.

I got a few more, remember season 1 episode, "The Ring" I think it was called. Angel freed several demons from enslavement, I'm sure he could gather a few of those that are in his debt to help out. And what about the episode "Blind Date", what about those powerful blind children, sure they are young, but probably older and maybe even more powerful.

A couple other people to consider for cannon fodder are Doyle's ex wife and Wesley's g/f from season 2. And hey, maybe a spell might make phantom Dennis human for a few hours, you never know.

"MMMM, Angel" girls is also a good suggestion.

i'm bumping or Jumping this thread or whatever its called cause i think this has some merit in conjunction with a conversation in another thread...

Here would be my list in no particular order

Angel
Spike
Gunn
Wesley(not dead, his death was a rouse in a bid to alert the 'LA Army to attack)
Illyria

Faith - She suits Angel more then Buffy
Gwen
Bethany
David Nabbit - Honestly its not about strength, its about fighting the good fight
Gunn's crew - yes i think there would be some, also that kids gang we saw in season 4
Lorne's warrior cousin(and people) - i like to Think Lorne went to Pylea after his bit and convinced his people that he was in need of there assistance.....
Groo
Kate Lockley
Phantom Dennis-(he was a Poltergeist - they can throw things!!!)
Jhiera and her warrior women
A few of the demons from 'The Ring'
It seemed Wesley had created a small team when he went at it alone.
The Kids from Blind Date
Nina - obviously
Melissa from I Fall to Pieces
Doyles Fiance Harry
Harry's ex-fiance Richard and Family...though they were gonna eat Doyles brains, they were still good werent they?
Harmony - i just think she'd want to help Angel in the end.
Connor - Would Angel have a choice?
Whistler - I think he could have been sent
Rebecca Lowell(?) the actress from Eternity, i bet she has some decent contacts
Anne + some of the stronger, more streetwise kids she protects...
Gene - the Physicist who nearly stopped time
The Furies - sure they have have a spell or two for..mmmm, Angel
Some of Holzt Gang, i mean yes they hate Vampires, but would they work with Angel to save the world(if its THE Apocalypse) i think so
The Shamen that took Angels Soul in season 4 - i think Wesley could convince him
Eve - i kinda think possibly might in order to stay alive

Plus like about 50-100 people that are just the Vision Saves of the week.
Like i said in another thread, i think it would be a good idea if there was some reason that the PTB's decided that specific people were saved by the Visions, Fred, Cordy, Gunn, Groo and Buffy all had a cameo in a vision, and we know they all have some purpose in the show, all champions, so why not everyone else.
From my list you will notice i left out Willow or any scoob, but thats because i think that this should be fought by Angel and co as a means of personal justification for the past 5 years.

What was the name of those demons Angel helped in Hero?

They reminded me of the Jews. So maybe they kind of went off to create their own little place like the Jews did after dealing with the Nazis in WWII, and once they did they became a super-tough fighting force like the Israelis became in Israel?

Short answer - maybe they could help Angel too.

They were the Lister Demons i believe.
We are told in the show that they are going to an Island, one where 'Half-Breeds' can go to be safe, so i think its safe to assume they would have contact with a few other species, maybe a small army in themselves, that could possibly be persuaded to help in the fight.

I personally think Buffy would turn up. I mean she loves Angel just cause he's running Wolfram and Hart isn't gonna change that. So naturally she's gonna wanna help.

I'm with DDm, plus the scoobs behaviour would tell me they wouldn't be joining them anytime soon...i blame the script writters
