Angel's car

I always dug Angel's car. Was bummed when he went to WR&H with that garage of moderns. American cars started to get really big and really ugly in the 70's. Do like some the the half-hearted attempts at retro nostalgia: the T-Bird, the new Mustang. I used to have a '66 Corvair convertable, the most dangerous car on the road according to Ralph Nader. Was fun while I had it. Sigh...

In my book, Angel will always belong in that '67 GTX.
 
I know Buffy was mostly a danger to herself and others when driving. But if I were outfitting her for a nice roadtrip down the California coast, I'd go with something sporty and elegant. Do love the little British numbers. I think a Triumph would be good:

I forget what Giles drove early on....The red convertable screamed midlife crisis I think.
 
I can so see Buffy ripping down the coastal highway in that little Triumph number, wind blowing in her hair.

You know what would be funny though? If they continued to play on that running gag about Buffy being a bad driver, and the car was all dinted. 🙂

I think Giles' first Cal car was a Citroen.

Hey here's a fun one. Angel returns. He deals with his problems in the alley and returns to the wreckage of Wolfram and Hart to find the underground parking undamaged. All the cars are there - the viper, the 1970 Superbee, and at the far end out of view is his old convertible. Which one should Angel take?
 
Well, if we're talkin' a post-apocalyptic scenario, it has to be the Plymouth! You can't be Mad Max with a Viper! That's so "XXX", Vin Diesel, yuck...

Actually, the perfect Road Warrior vehicle is Gunn's truck...

I would take the old comfortable. The big that I have with fancy cars like the Viper is that one hit--and you've totaled it..
