Angel's Gem of Amara

You are all wrong!!! Angel destroyed the ring cuz it didn't go with anything he owned, and he is not a fan of Bling! duh! 😉

Well, actually i said that already, but i agree anyway, lol!
Well, I think it mainly boils down to the fact that the ring was more of a liability than anything else. Look at what Spike did to get that ring back: he hired a torturer, and had Angel tortured, and would've probably killed Cordy and Doyle if he hadn't gotten his way ultimately. The ring is dangerous, and the lives of Angel's friends and Angel were seriously affected.

Also, Angel commented that his job is to help those who can't help themselves, and they are mainly found in the darkness. I'm not sure on the acutal quote because I haven't seen the ep in a while. But I remember something like that. I think that Angel just didn't see a relevancy to be out in the day when he helped those in need at night.

Although I understand Angels decision to destroy the ring I have to say I don't think it was a wise descision. I agree with what has been said here before, I think that Angel should have asked someone to keep the ring safe for him! There were demons that he could have killed if he had the ring. It would have been useful to have it somewhere, so that he could get it when he needed it!

Plus I always thought it was weird that no vampires came back to find it after he destroyed it as I don't remember him making it public knowledge that it no longer existed!

I know that Angel was putting the people who needed help first when he destroyed it, I just don't think it was the best idea. Only reason I think he did it was because it would be too tempting for him to use it with it still in existence!
