Angel's Greatest Moment?

The cool thing about Angel is that he can have great moments without even being there.

How could we forget?
Thought of more

- putting the "cops suck" sign on lindsay's truck
- "that's vandalism! We should leave a note!"
- "This is war! We need helicopters and tear gas!" (his outrage at the self esteem song in "Smile Time"
- "When I saw this last, I cried. And I was evil then!" (talking about the ballet)

Oooh! That, even though he knew harmony was gonna betray him (in Not Fade Away), he a letter of recommendation all made out for her.

that was gold! loved it!
"There are three things I don't do: tan, date, and sing in public."

"Stop calling me pastries!"

His astronaut vs caveman argument with Spike.

Pretty much all his moments with Spike. Those 2 are always awesome together.

OMG there are so many perfect Angel moments. One other for me (some might say obviously) is when he saved Faith from herself and others and believed in her ability for redemption and recovery. They fought. He saved her. 🙂

When he came back to Sunnydale and ended up beating the crap out of Riley in the 'Yoko factor'?

Nah I'm just saying that to get all the Riley haters on my side and then once I have them, when they least expect it, to quickly convince them that Riley was better for Buffy.

Hmm, best moment, probably when he saves Buffy's life in the Wish by getting in the way of the arrow shaft.

His last words to Connor as he's sealing him into his bottom of the ocean grave "someday you'll learn the truth and you'll want to blame yourself. Don't! It's not your fault". (or something along those lines)

Just pick one? The hell with that 😉

In no particular order:

Can you fly?

As others have already said, it's a truly awesome scene. Now I know some Angel detractors say that he didn't use his fighting skills in that, scene, it wasn't that impressive, he just kicked a vampire out of a window. However to me, it's the simplicity of that scene that makes it work. It's the fact that we have this powerful vampire who has all these connections and Angel isn't fazed, he just ends his existence in the most nonchalant fashion possible.

The Epiphany Speech

I like it because it really spoke to me personally, because I don't believe in some end game. Finding those small moments in life, really is what makes life.

Defeating Jasmine

I like this because it reminded me of an Angel who had this overwhelming faith in humankind. People always talk about how he sat on his arse for 100 years after he got a soul before he met Buffy, but I've always seen it as more than that. I saw someone who barely trusted himself and was rather cynical about the salvation of mankind: "Time was, I thought human beings existed to hurt one another" (from memory) but from that he had this virtually unwavering belief in human beings even after being faced with the worst atrocities. He couldn't know that Jasmine wouldn't turn out to be right, but he was willing to find out.

Some say it was all about getting close to Connor, but while I think that was part of it, so what? That only serves to further humanize Angel and make him a relatable individual.

Helping Faith

I love that whole episode and that's when Faith became one of my favourite characters. I also like how they established Angel's independence from Buffy, both as a show and with respect to the titular character as well.

And if that isn't enough...

A thousand times this.
I think his best moment is when he beats the crap out of Riley!!!! No I'm just kidding I think his best moment has to be when he sacrifices being human for the sake of Buffy it doesn't get much more noble than that.

Just came across this on Youtube. Sometimes I forget that they actually did this on network television.
